I've been very critical of him. Many times

He's having a great season though. I thought last night was his best performance so far.

Typicaly he's also the worst player in that team.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I'm still not overly sold on Mad Albert but fair ****s he's done alright, although i don't really like mavericks in defence. And on being boring, I'm not sure that Milner deserved to be left out of the team, moreso after the Maribor game. Clearly klopp wanted a more natural LB but when you see Gomez on the right there's plenty of hypocrisy from him.

Gomez is playing because Clyne is injured. With his pace, he also offers width down the right and his delivery can be quite decent, if a little inconsistent. Milner narrowed the pitch on the left by either cutting inside or slowed play up by cutting back onto his favoured foot.

I liked Milner at LB and was surprised not to see him there this year, but to say Klopp is a hypocrite for not picking him and picking Gomez is a bit odd, even factoring in your irrational dislike for Gomez.

One good ball against Man U doesn't make his delivery all of a sudden good. And we still have TAA who granted has been inconsistent due to his youth (but as has Gomez). It's hardly irrational I like the kid, he's just not a very good defender.

They have a tit in goal

I still don't see where the hypocrisy lies or what Gomez rotating at RB has anything to do with Milner not playing LB?

Simple, innit. Gomez is not a full back, but rather a CB filling in there, so like Milner doesn't get by his man and deliver into the box from wide areas.

Granted when Clyne returns balance will hopefully be restored.

I've heard Klopp say that Milner himself doesn't want to be considered for the left back slot long term and he is currently training as a midfielder.
                          Are we winning?

When Alberto Moreno is your best defensive performer this season.... you know you are seriously ****ed.

Was going to post similar - it does look like he's improved though.

I think when we refer to Moreno and we say things like, at least he hasn't caused any goals or made any big errors, shows you the standard he has set.

There has been an improvement and credit to him for that but a few games without causing a goal IMO doesn't make me forget the last few years. He is and never will be good enough.
