Is the current Liverpool team carrying Gerrard ? Definitely not, you take Gerrard out of this team and we crumble. No team should rely on any one player but we seem to think that this is ok to do so. Unrealistic expectations, Steven has the best passing and vision in our team, considering our team is very much relying on our ability to pass our way through games this ability is essential. He isn't putting in insanely good performances but he is contributing a great deal. To say we are carrying him is hysterical to say the least.

Yeah maybe a little bit compared to his lofty standards.

I do expect him to improve but we need to play him wisely & sub him when games are safe & rest him against lesser teams when possible.
