I'd be delighted to see Brad Jones get a go. I think he's rubbish, but he's still better than Mignolet.

Brad Jones has never let us down when called upon and in the games he has played he has had made far fewer errors than Mignolet is making at the moment.
I honestly think Mignolet is utter ****. I was up for giving him one more season to improve, but he's not improving, he's regressing and it's harming the team.

He makes saves that are out of this world and I've been a supporter of his but I must say the way he stays on his line is quite simply not good enough.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostThey've both done **** all wrong, but Mignolet is the better keeper by some distance. He's a scape goat, pure and simple.
There was a moment in the derby where the ball was basically in the 6 yard box and he was hesitating and I think if I'm remembering correctly it ended up running out (just)
Although a keeper who makes those saves deserves to have a chance with a defence that isn't calamitous with no midfield protection before being made a scapegoat as you rightly pointed out. Lovren has been far more of a concern for me as has Gerrards lack of help, he gets walked past by anyone with even Downing like pace.Vive la France

I wrote quite a long post before but Tapatalk decided not to post it and I've lost it. Anyway the jist of it was...
I think we should try something a bit different tomorrow because we're really struggling. I would like to see us play 4-1-2-1-2 with the following team:
Mig
Man-Skr-Lov-Mor
Lucas
Hendo-Lallana
Sterling
Borini-Markovic
Now I know there's a few contentious ideas there but let me explain...
Lucas - playing the ball forward quickly into feet to Hendo/Lallana/Sterling and should be fresher than Gerrard.
Borini - we need pace and movement up top and somebody to press from the front. Hopefully forcing them to play it long and us to win the ball and get back at them quickly.
Markovic - now I know this is very much out there, but a bold gamble like this could work very well. He showed some really good movement and runs against Basel and we know he's got great pace, so providing he pressed high (like I said about Borini) I think he could grab a goal. Three fast and pressing forwards would be very dangerous in my opinion.
That said, I know that Rodgers will play Gerrard and Balotelli and we'll continue to struggle to score and get overrun in midfield. I think he needs to have the bottle to make a couple of big decisions to be honest.

Agree with dropping Gerrard for Lucas (Lucas has not been that bad so far this season when not played alongside Stevie).
But Markovic will not have a clue how to play that role up front and will get in everyone's way much like Balotelli does. It has to be Balo and Borini. Sterling also needs a rest so Coutinho in his place. One tit for another.
