Hull will be as jaded as us after they play tonight in Europe.

Think we will go with Lambert up top, possibly with Borini.

If anything was to go by, Lallana should be starting games as he gives us so much more energy in attack.

Tempted to start with Lallana, Coutinho and Sterling in attack. Those three seem to have some chemistry building and none of them really deserve to be out of the team.

          Rest/drop Gerrard?

Balotelli should be bombed out of the squad entirely.

          Is Sakho fit?

Mignolet, Manquillo, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno, Can, Henderson, Allen, Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling.

Drop either Skrtel or Lovren (I wish we could drop both) if Sakho is fit.

I'd like to have played Lambert or Borini, but I just think that front three could create some magic together.

Also a win here should put us in the top 4 with City playing West Ham. United should hopefully drop points at home to Chelsea too.

Potentially top 4 after having playing almost exclusively terrible for the entire season. It's one positive at least. That said I think they will give us a really tough game, they've looked quite dangerous when I've seen them this season.

                Id bomb out Mario.

He needs to get the message that his game needs to raise, I think not playing will do that.

Mingolet (although I'd be tempted to play Jones)
                  Manquillo Toure Lovren Moreno
                  Can
                  Henderson Allen
                  Lallana
                  Balotelli Sterling.

It won't be but that should be the team.

                    Colin Pascoe
                    Manq, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno
                    Allen, Hendo, Gerrard
                    Sterling
                    Lambert, Lallana

Lambert and Lallana to combine like they did for Saints, Sterling to menace - Cout to come on and create chances later on. And Colin's legs to intimidate the Hull frontline

Wasn't there something about him tweeting he' still 10 days away from fitness (and 2 months from Brendan's good books).

Here's my team to face Hull:

                        Mignolet
                        Manquillo - Toure - Lovren - Moreno
                        Lucas
                        Henderson - Allen
                        Coutinho
                        Borini - Lambert

Hull game after a nice performance against Real (I thought so anyway). Coutinho is so looking for a proper victim.

I like this team. We've got heart and legs in midfield and so much danger up front that we should easily outscore Hull.

Edit: I reckon Lucas will play Gerrard's role instead of Can. I don't mind that.

They got knocked out in the last round unfortunately.

Lallana is an absolute must to start. He looks ready to take off for us and we can't hold him back. Hate to say it, but Balotelli has got to drop out, without pace and movement up front we play like we've been neutered. We need people that are going to fight for the ball all over the pitch, otherwise we are going to end up in a negative rut that will be hard to break. This was always going to be a transitional season with so many new faces, but it is essential that we get some form going before too much damage is done to our prospects for the season. Way too many wake up call games.
