Got a sneaky feeling that Henderson might be rested. He doesn't look right at all, probably still carrying an injury. So same as above but Lallana instead of Hendo.

Coutinho, Lambert and Henderson would make decent subs on 60 min mark.

True, unfortunately we can't be as flexible in our selection as we need players beside Gerrard that can cover for his defensive frailties.

Lucas was very good tonight, wonder will he start getting a few more mins in the league? Borini deserves his start & it makes sense to have him playing if we are going to play 2 up top.... but i don't think we will.

Have to say, I did call Balotelli and Borini to start up top against Hull. Not trying to be a smart arse but I think we would have won that game with two strikers. Well, at least it looks like we'll give it a go now. I think Rodgers was just being a bit cautious before because of our defence.

I just think we've always played best with two strikers as Coutinho or Sterling can play the number 10 role really well and full backs like to get forward.

As long as we start 2 up front I'll be happy. Preferably Balotelli and Borini. Rodgers insistence on sticking with 1-up when its clearly not working is the only thing thats baffled me this season.

Away from home I'd expect us to go with Henderson and Allen to make up for Gerrards lack of mobility. Particularly as we look to have put more emphasis on being defensive solid over the past two games, I'd imagine keeping things organised and compact in midfield will be the plan.

Yup two up top for me and it would be Borini for his work rate and Balotelli.

Worryingly we looked better at the back last night in terms of organisation with Jones in goal now whilst he's not as good a keeper as Mignolet he did seem to marshal the back 4 pretty well I'd also say having Kolo in there helped things as it was less frantic with both Lovren and Skrtel doing their thing!

I think it's a given Gerrard will start unless he has a knock so I'd go with something like this.

I mostly agree with this, Toure/Skrtel maybe and if I had the choice I'd start Lucas ahead of Gerrard.

However......guaranteed BR will stick with one up top on his own as usual Skrtel will be back in the team again.
