He is more mobile though and has more energy, particularly as he didn't play on the weekend. Can and Lallana are definite starters. Allen came off so he probably will, Hendo has been rested lately so he will start. Coutinho played the full game on Sat so he'll likely be on the bench. Markovic will play I think. Manquillo will be at RB.

After that I'm not sure.

Rodgers is on a hiding to nothing. If we go all out and attack them and get beat 6 nil he will get blasted. If we play cautious and we get hammered by 5, we will say there was a complete lack of ambition shown by him.

Whatever he does he will be taken apart for it if we are beaten heavily. I would rather lose 6-3 and have a go than lose 5-0 and show nothing.

I get your point but i think if we have a go, then we are going to be ****ed in the ass....big time. To bw honest there isnt a team around that can contain madrid if they are on it.....**** if they only play to 50% of their abilities then theyll still hockey us.....we will need to score 3 goals to have any chance of getting something from this game....the same team that couldnt get one ****in goal against hull or newcastle..

Leaving Gerrard out is a massive mistake and for me it signals the end for him. No doubts at all. A crazy decision because we have seen this season we have too many lightweights (physically and mentally) not up for the fight and if we start leaking some early goals their heads will drop and it is going to get messy. Gerrard has to start this for me.
