Its a bit of a diagrace on several levels. The fans who pay good money to go deserve better, real Madrid deserve some respect for being the great club they are, the owners deserve better for buying the club and spending huge sums of money on the team.

I don't mind him dropping Gerrard - it gives other players the chance to take responsibility in the game. I can imagine it's easy as a young player to just hope Gerrard does it, but if he isn't there then they have no choice. We signed the players for a reason so let's see what they're made of. Plus someone like Can has far more legs than Gerrard, and if you stick him in a 3 with Henderson and maybe Allen then you have youth and energy throughout the 3. Worth a go init?

To be fair likes of henderson, sterling, Gerrard, balotelli have been below par. I have no problem with our changes, Rodgers was never going to go for it, he's selected players that are workmanlike and functional. And sure some of these players will have their chance to impress. Markovic is one that I wouldn't be too sure of in that line up but sure maybe he ll surprise us.

Not expecting us to win but hoping we at least give a good showing.
