Well no because that'd be stupid wouldn't it? But saying sack whoever is responsible for well over £100m worth of spending and us looking a complete mess isn't.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostThat's OK, but the players that were here already are playing poorly. So sack them all?
Play our players in a system that at least fits them and play the players who aren't consistently ****ing up.. Lovren for a start.Vive la France

Have you considered that perhaps we should see how things go with Sturridge back and when the new signings are given a bit more time before calling for the manager who just led us to a 2nd place finish to be sacked ??Originally posted by alonso14 View Postcall it what you want but we're all entitled to our opinions. i think the team is going backwards and most of the money we spent in the summer looks wasted.
we dont look like a team anymore, we look like a bunch of footballers who have never played together. our defence is terrible and our defensive shape is awful.
originally i thought daniel sturridge coming back would put this right but it wont.

Sure, we bought badly and now have a first team where most of the players aren't good enough. But, it looks like Brendan has no ideas for how to get the best out of what he's got. He's just hoping doing the same thing over and over will produce different results. He's failing the test pretty badly.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

how will daniel sturridge stop teams going through us with ease. chelsea players left gerrard for dead 3 times in the first 15 minutes. are we going to play him at defensive midfield.Originally posted by ~LFCHistory~ View PostHave you considered that perhaps we should see how things go with Sturridge back and when the new signings are given a bit more time before calling for the manager who just led us to a 2nd place finish to be sacked ??
ive been waiting for daniel to come back for almost 3 months, but it wont solve our organisational problems.

True but new signings have to be given a chance to bed in as well as a new system...if things don't pick up towards the end of the season and we are genuinely struggling in the bottom half then yes the board will have to make a desicionOriginally posted by alonso14 View PostI think this is it for brendan. he should either leave or be sacked as our manager. this season shows that most of our success was down to luis suarez brilliance and daniel sturridge's goals.
We look like 3 departments all playing their own little game, the defence keep hold of the ball too long and by the time theyve made 6 passes to each other the opposition have closed all the gaps off, our midfield is one of the worst functioning midfields in the premier league. Steven is past his best and shouldnt be a starter any more, and the other two I have no idea what they were supposed to be doing today. Henderson played the worst game i have ever seen him play.
our attacking play had no effect on chelsea, who just waited to counter us knowing that we push forward without any proper defensive shape. all this is because luis suarez left and now teams know there's nothing to fear. we have nothing at all to hurt other teams with and they play their own football.
its the managers job to make us into a team and we're nothing of the sort and that responsibility has to lie with him. he should go.

ThisOriginally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostI think many people on here seem to under estimate what its like for a team so low on confidence. All our players are better than they are showing, we just have to dig in and try and weather it all. The manager will make mistakes along the way, but we just need to keep going. I saw effort today, we kept trying but just werent good enough. Its the likes of the Newcastle games we need to win. No point picking out individuals, we win and lose as a team. Those wanting Gerrard out, replacing him won't solve the problem. It was his shot that should have got a pen. Its horrible but that's football.

Persevering with ideas that aren't working is frustrating to watch.Modifying post.

For Rodgers, a Cahill handball, which was not given as a penalty, was a big, big blow to Liverpool and left the manager with a sour taste.
And the Northern Irishman feels in his side's current run of form such decisions need to be given to provide a helping hand.
"We worked so hard in the game but we need those decisions that are obvious, it was a clear, clear penalty. I was very disappointed because the players gave everything in the game. We deserved at least a point for sure", he told BT Sport.
"You need that wee bit of luck going for you and it isn't at the moment. It has been a tough week.
"We have to keep working hard and hope get some of our injured players back in. There is no magic formula but I have a brilliant group of players here. We will be ready and firing after the international break. We did well defensively. Lovren was a powerhouse and Johnson played the best he has all season. Lambert also looked dashing. "
