Were we EVER in a position to sign him before Arsenal?

Surprised GH never persued that avenue.
We decided to sit tight and wait for Diouf!!

and he also decided against Etoooooooooo as well

Henry went to Arsenal after the 1998 world cup, didnt he? Correct me if i'm wrong.

And we signed diouf in 2002. Not sure if it was ever Henry OR Diouf TBH mate.

I think he is mixing it up with the anelka transfer.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

            * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Why would anyone go to Milan for the climate?

It was Wenger who decided to put him up front (was a winger for Juve, right?).
Would GH have done the same?

Was a genius move by Wenger.
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

This **** always makes me laugh. Genius move? Henry played as a striker throughout his youth, it was Wenger who decided he would be better as a winger when he coached him at Monaco. He wasn't fulfilling his potential when played out wide for Monaco or Juve. Wenger bought him for Arsenal as a striker having realised he was wrong to try to play him as a dedicated winger. Wow. Put him in the position he played most of his football in, genius move.

I think it's just one of those things journos always came out with and somehow it just creeped into accepted thought. I blame Thatcher
