Yeah I'm sure Valdes or any other keeper would flourish here with Skrtel, Lovren, Johnson and Gerrard in front of them.

Ok lets not get any better players anywhere and carry on as we are. Keeper needs replacing as do those ahead of him. Replacing the keeper is actually an easy thing to do right now so we should be and then carry on replacing those ahead of him.

I think hes wrong in terms of them being more physical than us but rest of his points have some merit

I think you've missed my point, yes Mignolet is not the answer but our back 4, midfield and attack are so horrifically bad right now that IMO spending money on a GK will change next to nothing. So sort out the real problems areas first and then look at a new GK.

Of course he is. I had a few concerns about Rodgers when he came here and wasn't particularly impressed with his recruitment. Those were mainly his lack of experience and his lack of status for bringing in the type of players we need to take us forward. He always came across as a salesman for Brendan Rodgers to me, which may be a little harsh.

When it all clicks it obviously seems to work well, but he doesn't seem to have a plan B and looks out of his depth now. With all respect to Brendan, a club the size of ours is not the place to obtain that experience and we have to look at the owners for making that decision.

He was never going to be able to replace Suarez in the summer, but with the expenditure he should have improved the midfield AND defence significantly but he hasn't. What sums it up for me at the moment is that nobody already at the club last season would look up to a single player coming in, its quite the opposite and for the outlay, thats ludicrous.

I'll be amazed if he sees out the season now if we go out of the CL this round.

totally agree. I've said that a few times already - we have spent 100m and improved the bench.....it is a ****in joke.....

During the summer I got laughed out of this place saying that we would have been better off bulking the squad with players like Bertrand, Milner, Lescott, Rodwell and then spend a big chunk on a Draxler firmino or Reus......

We ****ed it up. We bought ****e that will only hamper the progress of players like wisdom, Ibe, teixeria and Suso....

Looks like he genuinely can't see that it's our senior players that are the problem. Worrying.

The system change has ****ed our pressing (its much deeper) this in turn means we are counter attacking from deeper and having to run further in support

To me blaming all our woes on the loss of Suarez and the absence of Sturridge is completely absolving Rodgers of monumental **** ups he has made

I do have some sympathy for Rodgers but I also think he hasnt helped himself much this season either

Haven't read past the first page, but that's four on the trot and he changes nothing. I am not sure I'm willing to give him more time tbh, only delays the inevitable. He's lost the plot, but still tries the same things, he has nothing going for him now, not one thing.

Don't know. Rafa can get so much more out of a defence than the sum of its parts - see Riise.

I think some of the off the ball qualities of midfield players like Hendo, Lallana and Allen would suit him too - work rate and ability to press. He'd set us up to be a robust team with the ability to counter rapidly.

Anyway, don't know why I'm getting into this as I'm loathe to give the false impression I am clamouring for his return!
