for me that isn't enough quality from an attacking perspective. Not one bit. Lambert would be too static and Lallana would be muscled out of it.......i don't think you can have a trio of Lucas, Can and Allen - for me either Can or Allen would need to go.Originally posted by Rigadon View PostMignolet
Manquillo - Skrtel - Toure - Moreno
Lucas
Henderson - Can - Allen
Lallana
Lambert
Hopefully Sakho will be on the bench and will get some game time.
I would like to see:
----------------------------MIGNOLET------------------------
MANQUILLO------TOURE--------------LOV/SKRT----MORENO
----------------------------LUCAS-----------------------------
-----------------HENDERSON---------COUTINHO--------------
---------------------------GERRARD---------------------------
----STERLING-------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------BALOTELLI---------

Thats what I'd go for, rest Sterling, power and energy in the middle, give Toure another nod ahead of Lovren.Originally posted by Rigadon View PostMignolet

Well Rodgers has been telling them for weeks they are good players and we havent see any improvementOriginally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostHelpful. Our players are good players. They need encouragement and support regardless of how poorly they are playing.

I want us to go on the front foot in games and attack but this would be extremely brave and against Stoke you know its going to be physicalOriginally posted by frank the tank View Postfor me that isn't enough quality from an attacking perspective. For all I want to see us attacking teams, the biggest thing I want to see is us pressing teams high and I just dont think Coutinho in that role is condusive to providing thatBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I think it very much depends on how we set up doesnt itOriginally posted by red g View Postthats not strictly true is it, We have shown with a world class player in the team we can be very good.
Kenny didnt get the best out of Suarez, and neither did Rodgers for 6 months
Hodgson got diddly squat out of Gerrard in his 6 monthsBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

from the manager I totally agree, I hope behind closed doors he's telling them exactly what he thinks. But as fans at the game, being silent and waiting for the team perform has a negative effect. I'm not advocating fans cheering non-stop for 6 games on the bounce with little effect, but one game this season would be nice. From day one this season the home fans have been ****. Disgracefully so.Originally posted by Lecter View PostWell Rodgers has been telling them for weeks they are good players and we havent see any improvement

My post earlier was what I'm pretty convinced Rodgers will go with, my team would be -
Jones
Manquillo Toure/Lovren Sakho Moreno (Sakho if fit, if not KT and DL)
Can Lucas
Hendo Sterling Lallana
Lambert.
I was at Wembley when Brad Jones played vs Everton, how he played that day is miles better than any Mingolet performance this season, he came for crosses and relieved pressure time and time again. The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

The thing is Bob to be buoyed by the fans you have to have fire, passion and desire, burning in your belly alreadyOriginally posted by BobTheCharmer View Postfrom the manager I totally agree, I hope behind closed doors he's telling them exactly what he thinks. The fans are there to ignite those desires and push you on further
I think the crowd has been flat because there has been zero desire shown
There are far too many people just going through the motions
I go to a lot of the home games and you should hear the groans pre-match when they hear the teamsheet read out and we have the same underachievers being gifted a shirt week in week out and showing zero desire
Its a symbiotic relationship, the fans feed off people when they see them putting effort on and then they roar them on to produce more
From day one we looked very flat as a team, really tired, jaded almost
At first I put that down to the World Cup etc... but its more than that and frankly its going to need a few gritty performances to get the juices flowing from the stands
The Anfield crowd has always been prepared to stand with the team provided the team will actually show fight and desire or at the very least a willingness to get out of the trenches and do battle
There has been none of that from our team this seasonBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

I think Brad Jones is a terrible player. In reality, if Jones comes in and plays ****e (which i think he will if he is given the nod) then we are totally screwed. We need to stick with Mignolet in my opinion.....i've seen Cech has been mentioned as a possible transfer in Jan - that would be a fantastic shout.....Originally posted by The Birdman View PostMy post earlier was what I'm pretty convinced Rodgers will go with, my team would be -
