I hoped the Basle game would see us kick on, now I hope it's a win against United. But pretty soon, Rodgers will run out of games. And if he goes down with a whimper whilst playing a style that is totally against his ideals, I'll have zero sympathy.

I want a man who is brave & bold in charge of this football club. Not one who bottles it at the first sign of danger, or collapses because he doesn't have a world class striker. **** me, he did better with Danny Graham up front with Swansea than he is now.

IMO if we lose against United he's pretty much a goner. One loss too far.

If we play with the intention of nicking a goal - which I believe we will, it'll go one of two ways.

          1. Praise as he gets a win against the odds.

          2. Anger as we've played negative and got a loss which is exactly what we deserved. A draw would do little to please either.

Yeah true, at the very least the performance levels have to be way up on what they've been. His team selection will be key to how we play.... interested and slightly nervous to see it.

Personally I think he'll get the rest of this season. Not a lot of point firing him at this stage.

At the very least he should stick around for the January transfer window. Sign a striker and get Sturridge back then who knows how well we can do the rest of the way?

If that's the case then there are three options.

                  Get someone in on loan.
Get someone in on a free transfer.
Sell a couple of players to raise the money to buy.

One thing about Liverpool this season... the football might be terrible but you never know what's going to happen next.

                  A proper soap opera

                    I think we'll win this.

Strange feeling in the build up to this. Usually I'm ****ting it that they spawn a result against us or we'll **** it up ourselves. Last season the game couldn't come around quick enough. This season I just have a feeling of resignation that we'll lose. Both defences are as bad as each other but they have functioning firepower and we don't

I have no expectations of a win. Just hope it is a respectable outcome, id be ok with a draw! A win would be great/massive however it comes! I feel this negative because we seem to be playing with no style at the moment. I know confidence is low but at least set the team to go out & attack! Last season we were known to score in the first half of many games & keep on scoring/creating chances. This season we have no firepower i know our best striker has not been available for a long spell, & our other options are not as high a calibre of last seasin, but can it really be that difficult to teach a squad how to press from the front & create chances for each other with attacking movements?
Just go and attack them & make them worry about defending! rays:

I guess we're going to have to try and stifle them in midfield on Sunday, won't make for a great spectacle but we're so short of genuine goal threats it seems at the moment that I don't really see any other option.

The only way we could stifle any teams midfield is if all their players suddenly came down with a flu the night before and fell unconscious just after kick off. And even then I'd still be worried of losing.
