It's still not quite working but Borini's athleticism really helped us make space for Markovic and Coutinho (and Gerrard to some degree). The defending for the goal was comical, but the volley by Markovic that hit the post was top draw. Balotelli offers us nothing, we need to get rid in Jan.

He can take the weight of the world somewhere else and we can hopefully get a striker who might look like they might score. He has scored for us, it didn't help. We shouldn't keep him as some kind of therapy.

Fully agree with Guitar Rage

We are making progress slowly and it follows a similar pattern to Rodgers first season in charge. He was communicating his ideas to new players that season, similar to this season, he is trying to get his ideas across to new signings. I think this second half will show slow progress and if Rodgers keeps his job, next season will be interesting. Just requires a bit of patience I suppose.
