I really feel that if we can keep the team together for the next couple of years, add one or two top class additions in key positions, and if Origi came good as well, then we could really become a top team. I think it will just click for players like Coutinho and Sterling and Henderson and they will find their shooting boots. Similar to Aaron Ramsay a few years ago, he just became a 15 goals a season man pretty much overnight (as opposed to a 4 or 5 goals a season man)..... if Origi can reach his potential as well, then we have brilliant options and the basis of a team that is only going to get better and better.....
Getting back to the Chelsea second leg tie, it would be great if Mourinho dropped a few of his first teamers with them playing Man City a few games later. It is a big pity that the game next week is on the Tuesday again.....if it was on the Wednesday then Mourinho would be more likely to rest key men.
I thought the referee was a bit of a joke to be honest. All we were short was for him to start pointing to his watch like the league game last April. There was one instance where a chelsea player (i think it was Ivanovic) was just holding Sterling on the ground - preventing him from being in a position to receive a pass - this was 2 yards from the referee. The move broke down, Martin Atkinson just looked at the two of them, shrugged and played on. I would love if Sky did a referree analysis after each game and rated the referees performance. This guy was shocking.... so much so that it looked dodgy.
Personally, I don't think we will go through to be honest, but i have a bad feeling that we will be ****ed over.....

Like everyone else, I was very happy with last night. Thought we were class all game and with a bit more fortune could have had a more favourable result.
You can see how much it suites our players when we're playing the way Rodgers intended. Coutinho's output and effectiveness is increased, everyone looks dangerous and our transition to attack is rapid.
It was important that we only gave away the one away goal, I know the result wasn't ideal, but it could've been worse. I also liked the way we handled Costa, really wound him up. Just need to start taking the opportunities which are available to us and we'll be in good stead. Looking really forward to the remainder of the season if we can come close to this level of performance in the majority of matches.
