      just seen this stat:

Liverpool have taken more points from their last nine Premier League games (23) than they took from their opening 17 of the season (22).
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Lets put this in a little perspective.....

Can and Markovic needed to play out of position due to injury to Sakho. On the other side of the back 3 Lovren played with a young and raw Ibe. This in itself is a big change. It looked a little nervy to begin with but as the game went on it got better, especially with the introduction of Moreno.

          Skrtel was immense throughout....

I'll diverse a little. Playing a back 3 is great. Yonks ago, I played for a manager/trainer and he was way ahead of his time with formations. We played 3-4-3 or against the lesser teams 3-3-4.

Playing a back 3 was fantastic. It is easier to work as a unit. Plus you need to play agressively and attack the ball. I loved playing in the middle as Skrtel is doing. Hats off to him he is immense at the moment

Do you get a lot of respect if you walk around with "Junior Steward" on your back?

                Very much so.

You could visibly see Southampton push forward to stop us playing out from the back knowing that we had no long ball (or at least an out ball that would stick) and we were surrendering possession in our own half. Rodgers addressed this, we held our shape and our counter-attack was swift and in numbers. Rodgers had confidence in our ability to defend and shows he's not all about scoring more than the opposition.

They tried the ball up to Pelle and having runners either side of Skrtel to play the percentages, but when they realised Skrtel was in inspired form, they tried to go around us. To be fair to Koeman, he mixed it up but Rodgers had all the answers.

                      He is that.

He's that kid that would run down the street, fall flat on his face, and when everyone expects him to start crying, he just gets up with a huge grin on his face proudly holding up his bleeding hands! complete with little stones embedded in the skin!

Thanks for that. Their 1st penalty claim was never going to be given. Their other one plus Sterlings claim could both have been given in another day. Also the Mignolet handling the ball claim would have been harsh from where the linesman was.
