The Pitch

Lot of us have been highlighting it for a while now, but that pitch is so ****, even ****e teams like ManU would have half a chance against us.
Manager doesn't like it, players don't like it, fans don't like it, hoof ball teams love it..........what the **** is going on there ?
Must be one of the worst in the PL (and the Championship for that matter).

Can't re-lay it in the middle of a season. We'll sort it out in the summer.

I don't think it's that easy though.

United had massive issues with their pitch when they were perpetual champs. If it was simple that wouldn't have happened.

On the commentary today they said that the pitch was due to have been relaid by now but it's been postponed because of the stadium redevelopment.

To be fair this season it has been worse that it has been for a long long while

I dont know who is to blame, the weather, lack of light to the pitch, FSG penny pinching or poor work for the ground staff but the pitch is worse than last season

It is being re-laid in the summer and its clear the type of football Brendan wants us to play needs a good quality pitch

However the pitch hasnt seemed to hinder us greatly even n the current state it is in

Quick google shows Rodgers saying they'll be replacing the pitch in the summer.

It is according Rodgers anyway, but that was back in Nov I think.

Might have to put it off to fund Milner's wages for an extra week - and you can see why, world class when he came on today.

Usually it is alright, its only this season where it sticks out like a sore thumb.
I'm sure the groundstaff have won the award for top groundsmen in the recent few years - though, that seems to be like a primary school award, going around from club to club on a rota basis.

For all the talk about possible reasons, or plans to relay it, all we can say, is that right now it looks like the local stray dogs have been rubbing their holes on it on a nightly basis. Casual glance at other televised games this weekend shows just how poor it is TBH.
