Liverpool will not get a new pitch this summer. But they'll be able to carry out significant maintenance work to the existing pitch. [Echo]
But on a brighter Note Raheem Sterling is getting a Solid Gold Shihsa Pipe

Only had to look at Swansea's pitch yesterday to see how impressive a PL pitch should be at this stage of the season.
Turn in the weather should be helping.....as well as the **** we do be spreading on it every other weekend lately.

when you look at old clips of some of our ex players, it makes you realise how ****in awesome some of them were. Watching the John Barnes documentary on ITV4 last week really brought it to my attention - you see him playing on a pitch that would get a team docked points in the premier league these days - and he still made it ****in rain out there....

If FSG relay the pitch that will add about £10 on the price of a ticket.
If cost cutting is what FSG are all about even with this new mega TV deal then what hope do we have of even signing any good players let alone retaining our current players
I don't think not relaying the pitch is a cost-cutting measure. In reality they overpaid by about £13m on Lallana, about £16m on Lovren and we would probably give away the £16m Balotelli just to get him off the wage bill. My point being, the 2 or 3 hundred k's it would cost to relay the pitch is two-thirds of **** all in the greater scheme of things. Over a season, if it turns a single league draw into a win, then it is a no-brainer.
I suspect it is likely to impact on construction of the new stand if we rip up the pitch as well...... or else they have some specialist advice on some other treatment that will suffice.
