Bit of redemption for Torres there, I'm glad it worked out that way for him - you could see how hard he was trying as well, he seemed to put more effort into that then he did for most of Chelsea career There was a bit of a bromance going on there between him and Suarez - such a shame we didn't get to see that partnership for real.

I was gutted when he left. What a player he was.

Apparently they are actual mates, Suarez and Torres. Nando said their paths crossed at Melwood, while Suarez was signing, for two days and they became friends then and stayed in touch.

Yeah, I read that in the Suarez book - he was a bit gutted the way the transfers worked out. He said Torres offered him local advice and all that jazz, Suarez bought his house too.

Reading that Torres quote brought tears to my eyes. I felt betrayed like never before when he left us. I think I can forgive him now. He knows he fecked things up.
