We can move Can to midfield alongside Henderson with Ibe and Sterling (if he's still here) on the wings.

Coutinho, Markovic, Lallana or Texiera can support the main striker.

Or we play five in midfield -

Sterling - Can - Coutinho - Henderson - Ibe

With Lacazette, Vietto, Origi or Sturridge up front.

I don't think FSG are stupid either. If we have the chance to sign a top striker on the up and we can do it on £100k a week (in line with other top earners) then we will.

Also, the TV money will mean we have enough to pay a little extra.

I'd look to sign a keeper that doesn't get beaten so easily with 3 shots from outside the box.
Ozil's free kick was a massive error, Sanchez's shot went almost down the middle of the goal.

Add that to the fact that 99 times out of 100 Markovic gets that pass to Sterling right and it would have been a lot different.

Even add in that Bellarin should have gone for his 2nd yellow for the penalty, 3-1 with 20 mins to go against 10 men.

If he stays he definitely can't afford another season like this. I think he has enough credit in the bank for another season.

Brendan should definitely get another season. Barring a massive collapse in the next 8 games, I think he will get it also. If there is a massive collapse, and FSG decide to fire Brendan, then I hope they can the members of the transfer committee also. This team appears to wilt under pressure and the committee should share the blame for that.

FSG wanted a DOF when they appointed Rodgers. Brendan was the one that rejected that idea so the compromise of the transfer committee was arrived at. That's one of FSG's gripes with Rodgers.

We need some aggression in our play. Why did we start like we did!? Should be showing no mercy to the 'top 4' teams & go toe to toe with them. We gave utd some time & space last game & arsenal had most of the possession today.
Summer needs to see some beef in midfield, a top striker & a competent defender. Those top 3 should be priority & must be the right players. Mix that with what we have & we should have a decent enough squad to go at it from the off next season!
It is way more hard to consistently break into that top 4 now with about 6 teams more than capable! Top 2 will usually be chavs & city for all their spending power, so that leaves only 2 more spots. Im happy competing consistently for top 4 but don't mind if we miss out on the odd occasion but we must still be able to do better against the big spenders a little better.

Arsenal didn't have most of the possession. According to the BBC Liverpool had 51% of the possession
