Liverpool supporters calling for Rodgers to be sacked is also embarrassing.

FSG's policy is to bring in players with potential and develop them, that's what Brendan is good at. The other four teams above us spend big on ready made players, we can't do that for one reason or the other.Originally posted by ChrisDR1968 View PostIf that's the case then Rodgers will definitely get canned by FSG at the end of next season. Their whole business plan for the club is to be in the top 4 consistently.Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

Toure dreadful. Not just bad - quite possible the worse performance I have seen any Liverpool player put in all season.
Still far from convinced on Sakho - think he wants/needs far more time on the ball than he is ever going to get and for a player as one footed as he is it is a disaster waiting to happen.
Sturridge and Sterling are also guilty of wanting far too much time on the ball and both were greedy *******s today.Football without Origi is nothing

Yep, save for going into total freefall he should be getting another season to put things rightI don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

My main concern is that again we need an overhaul in the summer, chuck some money at more players and hope for the best.
I don't want Rodgers to be sacked, but I'm not sure I 100% trust him with another summer of transfers either, and I'm sure the same thing is going through the owners mind. The times they are a changin'.

Well to go to a four as I'm suggesting, then those two are our best choices right now. Toure is a ****ing useless cunt that serves no ****ing purpose, the cunt just looks a clown, plays like a clown and should go for a walk and get lost in the way back. Sakho and lovren would be the only centre backs available. Johnson is our best fit right back.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostWhat, are we trying to make sure we finish outside the UEFA cup places then?
Balotelli ahead of Sturridge? Johnson and Lovren.... ever?
Balotelli because I know you love him. Seriously, we just lost 4 - 1, it couldn't be any worse with him starting.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

Just the way these days isn't it... not that long ago a ton of Arsenal fans were on the "Wenger out" bandwagon. Fwiw I think any expectation that we have to qualify for the CL every season for the manager to keep his job is unrealistic given the relative strength and spending power of our direct rivals for those spots. This season has been disappointing but I would have hoped most LFC fans could see enough positive at the club, and enough to be gained from stability and consistency, to give Rodgers at least another season.Originally posted by Big-Red-Ed View PostCan't see why the manager is getting stick today. Well if that's their plan they'll have to pay big wages that don't rely on the club being in the CL. Because if you're not in the CL you have to twist their arm with cold hard cash. And if you don't do that, the best players go to other clubs and you don't progress. United weren't top 4 and they snagged Di Maria and have kept their best players. They paid silly money and come the end they'll have progressed and the gamble will have been warranted.Originally posted by ChrisDR1968 View PostIf that's the case then Rodgers will definitely get canned by FSG at the end of next season. The issue is whether we can afford to go balls out for top players, and quite clearly we can not. And that's why we will be hovering around 5th unless a top team has a catastrophic season.Forwards.......

Our defence is ****e. The main reason Rodgers opted for 3 at the back for most of the season is that he can't organize a defence to save his life. Top sides know how to exploit the system because it's inherently flawed. Sure, our defence stabilized with the change because it's safer playing more defenders, but we're not going anywhere with it long term.

It feels like the last couple of games have screwed our season, truth is the damage was done really early on, the squad isn't good enough despite having numbers we don't have quaility and we have players who just don't play and to be honest might as well not be here. Without Sturridge we have no quality strikers, when he is out we have so little faith in Balotelli, Borini and Lambert that we will play a kid out of position there. Defensively Lovren is the same we wasted the £40m quid in the summer on players who can't even get a game when the squad is down to the bones of it's arse in their position. And although Lallana and Markovic are decent players they haven't established themselves in the team on a regular basis yet, we are essentially left with last season's squad minus Suarez, despite spending £100m
I thought the 3-4-3 was working, the problem is we have been changing players around and around, I don't think we know who should play where. I think we need to sort this out so we can figure out what we need to bring in.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Its not about isolated results its about how the team has performed over the whole season and I think he's fallen way short of acceptable standards. The results against the top sides have been terrible, our results in Europe were terrible and in the first half of the season the results against everyone was poor. And I also think in three years he still hasn't managed to find a balance between attack and defense and has a transfer record no better than average.Originally posted by Big-Red-Ed View PostCan't see why the manager is getting stick today. For me it is time to move on. Others are welcome to a different opinion though

You don't have to trust him as he isn't the one who decides who we sign. If he did we'd have signed Ashley Williams every season since he came. He's given options and he picks from the options. You really think Balotelli would've been his first choice?Originally posted by Gibbo View PostMy main concern is that again we need an overhaul in the summer, chuck some money at more players and hope for the best.
