End of Season -Last 6 Games

Can't see us picking up too many points from these fixtures, especially after the defeat to Villa, morale will be very low,do the players want to play for Rodgers etc, feel free to guess how many points we will accumulate from a maximum of 18 pts....i think we'll get erm 3 pts
    Hull A
    West Brom A
    QPR H
    Chelsea A
    Crystal Palace H
    Stoke A

4th is effectively gone and after yesterday our season is over as far as I am concerned.

Would be good to see a few of the piss takers from yesterday dropped and the likes of Brannagan given a chance to shine.

11 Points from 18 I think. Wont be enough to overhaul City.

Dunno, be just like us to beat everyone & draw with the Chavs & finish close to 4th.
        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

It reads that way, but I'm undecided as to whether it will be WWWLDD or WWWLDW

The expectation that the best we could do is a home draw v Palace???

                How low have we sunk.

We'll win most of those games, but 4th is gone, and I think the inquest into the season will have begun already.

There's no pressure anymore, so we'll win games comfortably.

I hope so. The pressure is off, but it will be interesting to see how the players respond.

I'd hope we'd have enough quality and enough drive for us secure fifth and the extra pennies that come with it over, say, finishing seventh. I can't say I'm enamoured with the thought of the Europa League and the Thursday, Sunday combination with the travel time on top, but I'd have no qualms with Rodgers playing the reserves every week.

Rodgers needs the experience of European football without the timetabling issues he seems to struggle with when planning two games a week.

wow incredible thing to say imo what chance do we have as a club if the players can't handle any pressure?
you think so? 3 of those teams will have more passion and commitment as they are fighting relegation,we won't get anything from Chelsea, crystal palace maybe and Stoke i think will be a draw at best.

4th has nothing to do with Yesterday ... there are two teams ahead of us ... we need them to drop points in 2 games and we need to be perfect ... thats were we are right now ... its on ; ) .. in Many Ways its good that we are out of the title race, Champions Lg, FA Cup, Lg Cup ... means we can concentrate on these 6 important games ; )

We basically need to win the 6 remaining games, and that is unlikely with the Chelsea game comming up, and the current team not performing well against the top teams.

If we realistically at most get 15 points which brings us to 72.

That means City will at most 7 points in the last 5 and United at most 6 points in the last 5.

That means they have to drop 8 and 9 points respectively (considering the goal difference), and that is just very unlikely. 4th is effectively gone, United will win 2 of their last games and City have few though games so will likely get what they need.

We just need to win the games and at the very least finish 5th and still have European footy next season and show we at least were close to CL spots in the end. That will still be a pull compared to finishing 7th. 5th, close to CL and 2 semi-finals is not a completely poor show when attracting new talent after all.

IMO the season's over, City will find form again eventually, we just left it too late, can't start playing in December and expect a top four finish. Undecided on Rodgers, won't be unhappy if he's replaced but I won start a campaign against him either.

We need to win 5 and draw 1 for a 50/50 chance of getting CL. City weren't convincing against a West Ham side that was even worse than Newcastle (and that's saying something).

Problem is I don't see us winning more than 3 games tops. Henderson, Sterling and Coutinho are shattered. We have no one else to step in and take the charge, ergo season over. I agree with Tee, give our youngsters a chance (except Ibe who might be cup tied).
