i think once we have nothing to play for and the pressure is off the lads, you might see an improvement in performances. Against united, arsenal and then villa we were dire and lost all the big games we had left to play.

doesn't bode well for the future ...also 3 of the games are against teams who do have something to fight for,so they will be even more determined,Chelsea won't be easy at all and that leaves games against stoke and Crystal palace?but you never know.

As cruel as it may sound I think how well we do in the remaining games may come down to how much sentiment Rodgers and the side want to show to Gerrard. If we decide that we are going to give him most of these last few games and mess the team about to accomodate him then I think we will struggle.

Probably, while their fans sing about Hillsborough or Heysel at the same time and then their players start stamping and hacking ours minutes later. That idea should be ****ed right off. Mind you, some of the morons following us nowadays we'll probably hear "Chelsea, Chelsea" from our end.

If we get 12-15 points from the last six games and finish 5 points off 4th it will only paper over the obvious cracks. On paper it might look close but we were miles behind midway through the season and when everyone thought we might just do it we wilted.

We are playing Tony Pulis's West Brom Away I believe

We beat them, we put them firmly in the relegation fight

There next game after us is United

By the time United play them, we could be 2 points behind them

Similarly after our next two games which will be West Brom quickly followed by Hull we could be 2 points behind City

City play Aston Villa they lose that game .. they also are in the relegation fight of there lifes, I can see Villa getting a point. Tim Sherwood is probably already putting his order in for his embroidered England Manager smoking jacket.

We win our next game, we give ourselves a chance to put a lot of pressure on the two teams above us next Tues by beating Hull.

If by next weekend we are behind one of the teams above us by 2, with QPR Home, Chelsea Away, Crystal Palace Home and Stoke Away, I think we can win those 4 games. Chelsea beat Arsenal at the weekend, they win the title, given the choice I am sure Mourinho would rather City be out of the CL, I think he'll do us a favor if he has the title wrapped up and that game looks like it could shift the race for 4th in our favour.

We're not winning our next 6 games. 3, maybe 4, but not 6. We have trouble scoring as is. How do you think we'll do against a deep defending chelsea team? No chance at all. We couldnt even do it when we had Suarez and Sturridge both on the field. Only way we'll get 4th is if the 2 teams above us draw 3 games or lose 3 games. We have far more chance of dropping to 7th then we do reaching 4th. Like...90-10.
