I agree totally with your point, we do need more firepower but we also need a better defence. We give away too many goals and are awful at defending set pieces plus Lovren and Mignolet are both wank and need ****ing off asap.

I think you are right there......a new strike force......plus a new defense. Then just replace Mignolet and get a top midfielder to replace Gerrard to play alongside Coutinho and we should be there or there abouts. We're not too far off

I would normally tend to agree with this. But looking at FSG and their history with the Red Sox, the stadium Re vamp was the start of a lot of success for them. That must keep them with us for a good 5 years too see what shakes out.

With all the TV money rolling in, and looking like itll only get more and more. I dont see why they would sell us. Unless they can make an obscene amount of cash.

Yeah down the road we can look at that but our defence has actually got better this year, we've only conceded 3 more than the two manc clubs and 6 more than Arsenal and 4 of those were in the away game against them. Its all about goals scored in this league, goals will get you in the top 4 even when you concede 50 at the other end as we saw, get goals, get CL, get more money as a result, sort the rest later. We aren't going to out defend Chelsea over the season so we have to be different, outscore them.

We don't have the money to do both so buy the thing that will be guaranteed to improve you. Goals.

To be fair, if he had two mobile and prolific lads in front of him to play those balls into we'd be far better off than if we spent the money buying lads that play behind him. Rather win loads of games 3-2 than draw loads 0-0.
