We played well second half, until they brought on Matic, and then it was them that looked more threatening. We took off a tiring Gerrard and brought on Lucas, and looked the more likely to score (with out ever being overly threatening, but bringing on Lucas did have the right impact I think). Rather than try to sugar coat the Gerrard sub with some crud about giving him an ovation, just say it as it was, we needed shoring up or were more likely to concede than score.
