Thanjk you.

Bloody hell, forgot about him. Remember Jose moaning and saying we should be playing him more frequently....yeah I bet he wishes we played him more often for a very good reason
I mean I can understand bringing in players on loan with an option to sign them within certain circumstances. Basically if they're highly rated but you just want to gauge their suitability to the PL.
When you're loaning unwanted players from Clubs like Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, it's your reputation that goes down the drain. I know this isn't the biggest point but it does all come down to what others have been saying on here about how the club seem to project themselves as second tier.
I would have much rather Andre Wisdom played right back over Manquillo and Suso over Moses, for example.
There is a similar poll over on ST and there are loads of regular match goers over there. 89% want him gone.
I would suggest a lot of that is a reaction to what for me was one of the worst performances of the season. The great anticipation for Saturdays match, The belief we had that Steven Gerrards last home game would be a match to remember, a day to celebrate all the good he's done for us over the years, how could they let us down so badly in a match that meant nothing table wise but meant so much in our hearts.

Sack 'em all !!!
No mate. Momentum on this has been building a long time. Most people over there washed their hands of Rodgers quite a long time ago. Many haven't ever rated him. I had finally had enough around the United and Arsenal games and I'd say that is when a lot of people turned against him. That and the Villa game.
When was the last time a team ever performed as expected on one of these grand farewell games?
Remember the last game in front of the old Kop? Let down. The occasion is on the minds of the players more than the game is. I was pretty certain we would lose, and we did

I don't see how our reputation goes down the drain. The realistic point is we ARE second tier. We haven't qualified consistently in the CL and haven't won the Europa league when not in the CL. In European terms we are a second rank power if we are a power at all.
In the long run we are one of the few clubs who could move to the first tier from outside even under FFP.
Moses and Suso are very different types of players. Someone with the attributes of Moses + consistently applied ability and mentality would have been great (and what Rafa seemed to briefly unlock).
Wisdom/Manquillo seems a different case. I think we got a fine call wrong there. Wisdom hasn't got the game time he needed really. I can see the point of what we did though - we minimized risk and expenditure in a couple of deals that could have resulted in us having two good experienced right backs and should at least have given Wisdom more games.

There has definitely been a gradual building of momentum, the run gave some respite but the moment form dropped off again the momentum has been exponentially building
I personally dont think hes turning this tide round
He would have to start the season off flying to get enough people back on side and I just cant see that happening. In fact history under Rodgers would suggest the exact opposite for the early part of next season

I meant second tier within the PL. The club have tried to be too cute and clever in their signings and it's backfired big time.
We SHOULD have got through our CL group and we SHOULD have done better in the Europa League. This is not blind arrogance. This is after spending £120m in the summer. That's top tier expenditure.
There are a few whispers of FSG 'sharpening the knives' and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a complete overhaul in the summer.

I agree on this, but that's as much a sad indictment of a large segment of our support as it is the manager.
I don't think there's much chance he'll be sacked for what it's worth, nor do I think he should be. Rodgers deserves another whole season based on his performance last year, I suspect that will be the way the owners see it too.

Its been the same for years, its not some new internet thing
As I mentioned before, it currently feels like when we gave Houllier and Rafa another season it has that same drawn out inevitability about it. There is almost an air of resignation inside Anfield at matches
People arent just dissatisfied with results, they are dissatisfied with performances, signings, tactics, etc...
Its almost all encompassing and its why I feel it will be difficult for him to turn around unless he absolutely hits the ground running and why I feel it would be best to part company now
The scale of the job now is as big as when Rodgers took over, imo hes virtually starting again from scratch if he stays
Thats why I feel the timing is right to explore other avenues
That said I still feel FSG will keep him

He just seems different this season. You know, I guess we're all just human and it's easy to forget that.
I used to worship him, thought he was brilliant and could do no wrong. I've never seen such a turn-around in a person...almost Torres-esque.
I remember when he'd slaughter a player for a bad performance and dropped them straight away. Now it seems, there are certain players immune to dropping like Lovren and Johnson even though they are poor game after game. He eventually dropped Mignolet but that was 2 months too late. The damage had already been done and I don't mean that in a ruthlessly but compassionatley towards Mignolet. Poor lad was in the firing line for far too long with zero confidence.
And then on the flip-side, you have players that seem to get treated roughly even though they deserve better. Lambert, Sakho, Lucas, Lallana, Manquillo all spring to mind.
If this was any other job, I think the employers would ask Brendan to take a sabbatical to get his head straight. Just seems so cloudy in his judgement at the moment.

Nope. I think the fanfare associated with Gerrards departure helped Brendan. All the fans were focused on making sure they gave Gerrard a great send off.
If Gerrard was staying for one more year, it would have been ugly last Saturday.
