Somebody's head has just got to roll!

    Bunch of ****houses

Its hard to argue with it when its laid out like that. Especially given that its clearly not a 'Headline' signing.

Its just getting bodies in this. Proven prem goal scorer. I think he will be fine.

It's outrageous! Shearer went for £3.3m and he's brilliant!

Funny that he's been the catalyst for many games for City including against us and Bayern Munich. I think he can be a catalyst in that he offers experience, leadership and consistency to the team. If his place in the team allows those around him to raise their game 10% then that's got to be worthwhile.

I don't think Ings will be able to match those figures with Liverpool, but he is going to be an LFC player now, so I hope he kills it.

It would be a great story if LFC managed to get back amongst the top 4 and further with a British core of players but don't think it's likely.

The transfer window hasn't even opened. How can you criticize until it's shut? Patience has left the building..

Poor signing imo. To pay actual money for him is wasting money. Any game ings would play in, start Lambert, same difference. The five million or so should be going towards a higher calibre of player who can really make a difference to our league position.

Not sure if your trolling here?

Lambert is 33 and obviously not up to it, Ings is 22 and unproven for us. Hardly a waste of money. Someone like Aspas or Luis Alberto is a waste of money.

Sell those two and you cover the Ings fee. The odd £5m wont make a difference in the scheme of things I dont think.

This seems to be a theme in commentary on this signing. Who expects this? Why do they expect this in him more than others. 'He has lots of potential' is being banded about, everyone has potential, why his his so special?

He isn't, he's just another average young player with a small chance of becoming a very good one. Mediocre, again.

How is ings different to Aspas? What makes him a good option where aspas wasn't? Aspas had more top flight experience and a 1 in 3 record and ings will probably end up costing about the same.

Couldn't agree more with this statement. I get really fed up with fans preferring top 4 to winning silverware.

It's all down to the UEFA changes in their cup competitions in the 1990's which made the Champions League the be all and end all to a lot of people due to the money involved.

In my opinion UEFA ****ed football up big style with those changes. It made the game a mess because it created the have's and the have not's perception.

The window being open is just about paperwork, we can complete deals in principle, it's a good thing we are getting the deals done early as well. I just think Ings isn't going to be a good player for us, don't see why that isn't as valid an opinion as anything else.

Also the media has, for the past two years been pretty bang on about our targets, which leads me to believe that Benteke and Clyne are next, and I'm not over the moon about that either.

Well we know Ings can score in this league. He's hardly prolific, but he doesnt need to adapt.

Its just something being tried out, if it works itll be fine. If not he will be sold on and we wont lose much money. Same with Aspas. Hardly much risk in these lower fee transfers is there?

The best players want to play in the CL and to win trophies we need the best players, hence our need to attain top four.
