I don't share most others' enthusiasm. Looks pure filler to me. I know you can't keep 3 or 4 top drawer strikers happy so it's unrealistic to expect 3 or 4 of that ilk, and when Sturridge comes back we'll have those two strikers of similar quality that can play together or share the load. I know Ings will wind up 3rd choice, but he's another squad filler signing that has precisely zero chance of ever becoming first choice or a regular starter. He's got a good attitude but I think he's limited and he'll be off next summer. With loads of others no doubt.

Just been hearing/reading that Swansea changed to diamond with two up top and gave Utd all sorts of problems. Obviously LvG will be wise to that now but he had no answer mid game.

I would favour giving Benteke more support. If we're going to lose then we might as well look like we were trying to win.

if we will eventually be playing with sturridge up alongside benteke, with a diamond midfield, 4, 4, 2, then while we wait for danny to come back we should look to get the team used to playing that system now rather than go for change number 999.

I'm really sick of us buying strikers & then only playing one at a time. Give Bentake support & let's see how we go hey. Ings is never going to be a regular starter for us but if he can't get a start when Sturridge is out crocked I do worry about when he will get a start.

I think we should give him a bit more game time, he has almost scored in the last couple of games, given we haven't really looked like scoring sticking with him makes sense, hopefully if he can get a goal or two soon to boost his confidence and he can push on from there
