Neil Critchley ....revealed that he and his staff are simply taking extra care with Ings due to the busy schedule awaiting Jürgen Klopp and the first team.

"It's more a precaution than anything," the U23s boss told Liverpoolfc.com.

"He felt something very early in the game and he wasn't quite right, so we're not taking any chances with Danny and there are plenty of first-team games to come.

"We'll just look after him and assess him, but I'm sure he'll be fine."

He's 1 major set back away from retirement the poor fella, or at least pay as you play deals from a lesser club.

Stating the obvious, 1 more major setback and it would be curtains for him, in fact most don't come back from what he's already suffered. A friends of mine that played League 1 and 2 recently retired at 27 due to 2 knee ligament injuries.

Going to get niggly injuries after a long spell out. Never really wanted him at LFC but it is tough luck for the poor fella. Can't see him being here next season anyways but do hope he gets back to playing ball.

I don't understand why there is so sympathetic to him. I always find it amusing how people feel sorry for him and Flanagan who both have awful injury records but when other players like Aquilani and Sturridge pick up a knock people react like they've committed an awful crime.

Because he has had 2 very serious injuries and is now possibly injured again. When he was fit he generally stayed fit.

Sturridge gives the impression that he looks to be injured at every opportunity, just look how often he is injured, it seems never ending. He seems to be a hypochondriac

                      Also some bad spelling.
                      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

You know, I was probably guilty of thinking this until the other day. The Enrique situation has sort of changed my opinion on Sturridge a lot. There is more to things than we see.
