I think he's pretty **** and am disappointed we bought him. Running like forest gump is not a particularly endearing quality.

It always makes me laugh that the people who seem to like Ings (and Flannagan prior to his incident) are the same who dislike Sturridge, Aquilani etc. who in general have much better injury records. Like they have personal relationships with each player and know for sure that certain players 'want to be injured'.
I hope I'm wrong but I think Ings is seriously substandard and the sooner we move him on the better. At best he'll be one for the cups and off the bench. He's 25 and has only played one season of top flight football in addition to hardly playing in the last 2 and a half years. He will be used out of desperation and having no squad depth, but he's done nothing to suggest he's good enough or deserves to be part of the squad. Firmino has a good fitness record and hopefully (touch wood) he plays the majority of the rest of the games.

Jürgen Klopp praise for Danny Ings' 'wonderful' CL story
Danny Ings' return to Liverpool's first-team squad and subsequent Champions League debut has been described as a 'wonderful story' by Jürgen Klopp – but one that's wholly deserved.
The striker came off the bench to play the final stages of last Wednesday’s 5-0 victory over FC Porto at the Estadio do Dragao, making his first appearance in the European competition in the process.
It was Ings’ sixth outing of the season having returned to full fitness and the No.28 has been a regular in the Reds’ matchday squads since the end of last year.
“It was fantastic but he deserves it, really,” Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com when asked about the forward’s Champions League bow.
“Danny is in a fantastic shape. It always takes time. When I came in, it was such a long time [before I could work with him] because in the first session he got injured. Unbelievable.
“Now, after two-and-a-half years, he can play in the Champions League. It’s a wonderful story, it’s really deserved.
“It’s really hard in the moment to make the squad; we’ve had a few players not in the squad. Wow, I’ve never had a situation like that with the quality of the players not being in the squad.
“They all have made really big steps. Dom Solanke was not in the squad but is in outstanding shape at the moment. Ragnar Klavan, unbelievable. Ben Woodburn makes steps and is really close to everything.
“It’s difficult, it’s getting more and more difficult, but that’s good - very good - for us of course.
“Danny made it, he came on. It was a high result but it was not about that, it was only because he deserved it and we wanted to give Roberto a little bit of rest, so Danny came on and it was nice to see. He enjoyed it a lot, worked hard, was quick and adapted immediately to the game, so it was a really nice story.”
Ings: I dreamed of playing in the Champions League
In order to make his way back to full fitness, Ings has figured for Liverpool’s U23s on several occasions to build match sharpness.
Now, Klopp feels the 25-year-old is ‘knocking on the door’ of the Reds’ first-team line-up.
“Yes, absolutely [Danny is knocking on the door],” said the boss. “It’s good. He needed time. A few months ago it was different, but a player like him when they come back they think, ‘I am under pressure’ and they want to come in immediately and get game time.
“Danny went the hard way. He played a lot of games for the U23s - a lot of good games. Not all of them were good, but that’s normal. If you feel like a settled player, like he usually is, and then you play U23 and are not the best player on the pitch, then it’s not nice but it’s an important experience again.
“It’s all about getting match time and getting minutes. Then at one point, if the quality is there, he will be back - and that he is back now is very important for us and fantastic for him.”What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

Ings: I dreamed of playing in the Champions League
Danny Ings achieved a childhood dream when he took to the field in the second half against FC Porto on Wednesday night.
Amid the thrill of Liverpool’s destruction of the Portuguese side – Sadio Mane’s treble and goals from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino racking up a 5-0 win – the striker was introduced for his Champions League debut.
Ings was added to the Reds’ European squad at the beginning of February and gained minutes in the tournament at the first opportunity, the opening leg of their last-16 tie.
In doing so, the 25-year-old ticked off a leading item on his bucket list.
“It was one of those things where you watch it as a kid and have a dream of playing in the competition,” he told Liverpoolfc.com.
“So to come on and make my debut was a huge moment for me. I was very, very happy. But the most important thing was the 5-0 win – away at Porto, it’s a huge result.
“To be part of this group in a competition like that is huge for me, from the levels that I’ve come from over the years.
“It was a huge moment but something I want to build on. I want to stay around it with the lads and try to win as many games as we can and see how far we can go in the competition.”
Running out on Europe’s biggest stage was the latest marker in Ings’ remarkable comeback from two serious knee injuries since signing for Liverpool in 2015.
The No.28 has played the long game this season, clocking up minutes – and goals – with the U23s when chances for the first team were at a premium.
A feeling of frustration was natural for the energetic Englishman. But the wait has merely made the reward all the sweeter.
He explained: “I’ve been fit but we’ve got such a quality group of lads. I had to be patient; the manager didn’t think I was quite ready for the early months of the season.
“But to be part of it now and getting minutes on the pitch, and to play in a competition like the Champions League, is huge. So I’m happy.
“It was something that a few months ago I probably thought maybe wouldn’t have happened. So to be in the Champions League squad, get minutes and play a part in the fifth goal to help Sadio get his hat-trick was very nice.”What do you mean it could've been anyone? We were in total control so it was an ideal opportunity for him to make an impact. He's going to need to shoot somewhere other than straight at the keeper if he's going to score. Looking lively isn't really going to be enough for him long term.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years
