Wages and a place in the squads etc. I'm a fan of Joe, but sadly if he's not available we may as well be put Noddy in our PL squad. A great lad, and a really good player on his day, but his body just doesn't seem to be up to it. He's not fit enough often enough to be a back up; that's the problem I think.Originally posted by Sus View PostIf we don’t get much for him due to that availability then maybe it’s worth just keeping him?Really?

There's a lot of past tense in that statement. He's absolutely off - and good luck to him.Originally posted by peterbread View PostHe posted this
10 years ago as a kid moving from south east London to Liverpool, I couldn't even imagine looking this far into the future. Looking back now I'm full of gratitude & take so much pride in being a part of this club and city.
No denying the challenges along the way, but embracing them to grow as both a player and a person is something l've always tried to do & I'm grateful for all the support in trying to do that.
It's been a blessing to be a part of the different dressing rooms and getting to create such special memories over the years with so many great players & staff. I felt it was important to share my thanks to you all for the support throughout the years, it's always meant the world and I will never take it for granted.
A decade in red... and still hungry to keep going.Really?

I’d rather didn’t leave.
He’s made 242 appearances for the club despite the injuries and his injuries combined with his quality when he does play have almost made him the perfect fourth choice over many seasons because if he didn’t have them, he’d have left long ago but he’s been fit enough over the years to put in some big performances.
Crazy to think he made his senior debut at 17 under Brendan Rodgers. He played left back then well, won a league title at CB and has played very well covering on the right too. He was very good coming on against Arsenal this morning.
Whatever happens, he’s been a great professional and was absolutely immense in the klopp league title winning season.
It’s rare to find a player of his quality who doesn’t moan or sulk when they aren’t often playing a squad role or as a utility in positions that aren’t their preferred position.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

He even had a couple of games as a defensive midfielder.
He has been a brilliant player for most of his time with us, if it wasn't for his poor injury record he been a star.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I'm always happy when he plays well, he's been so unlucky with injuries. He should have been a regular starter for England but his body just cant hold up.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostHe’s been an obvious solution at right back to our defensive frailties for weeks if not months.
Played well today and got an assist.

We know he’s got it in him it’s more a matter of how many games he can put together before the inevitable injuries occur.
