Amazingly hasn't lost any of his pace considering his injury nightmares. His passing and control can be a bit poor but that's more rustiness and nerves more than anything. I was happy with his overall performance though.

Not bad, only 20 so loads of potential for improvement. Was decent today and certainly a better option than Flanno

Being so long out is bound to have an effect, I thought he was good considering he has barely played for almost two years.

Thought he put in a really good shift today - probably the best I've seen of him. Not ideal picking up a yellow early on but he showed his maturity after that and used his physicality to good effect without any unnecessary risks.

Same, though he was immense and handled the yellow brilliantly. Contributed plenty going forward too, we are stacked at right back!

He's surprised me at RB, didn't think he'd be great there. Tbh I have Clyne as 3rd in the pecking order now. These two young uns have it sewn up for me.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

2 clean sheets in 2 with him in the side and the Benteke miss the only thing close to a goal in those matches. If he keeps fit, he'll be an excellent squad player.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I thought he made a few mistakes and is still raw at times. But he's got talent and potential.
                  Are we winning?

I've been very critical of him and still have concerns over his decision making at times. But that might have been his best performance, so credit is due. Hopefully he can continue to improve.

We must have been watching different games, apart from the free kick he gave away early on which we've already covered what other mistakes did he make?

He was absolutely solid after that, got forward plenty and even got an assist - he looked anything but raw!

I reckon I would remember that.
I've mentioned this in the youth team threads before but maybe we want more of these in the side? In my day you'd have grown up hard being called Terence, never mind Terence Trent. That added grit has to count for something.

In the first twenty minutes or so he got absolutely ruined by Welbeck (just bounced off him in the box and Welbz nearly gave them the lead), Bellerin, and Ramsey, I think, when he received the yellow card.

After that he was a ****in impenetrable wall, the assist was great and that block life-saving, but saying he was without mistakes is a bit much.

He will only get better though, and I can't wait to see it, prefferably at CB.

He can be our Mendy. Powerful and capable of a great cross!

I thought Gomez did OK for the Wellbeck chance - stayed with his man and put Wellbeck off enough so that he fluffed his shot. Other than dive in and risk a pen, there wasn't much else he could do.

If anyone was at fault for allowing Wellbeck to get his shot off it was Matip (who had got totally lost as the ball was played through to Wellbeck).

lost the ball the odd time but very impressed by his recovery pace.
he did step froward a couple of times and looked ok.
He had a good game. I think to a degree he was asked to be a bit more carefull going forward because of Bellarins pace, he's hard to catch if he gets to top speed.

All in all he's done very well and nice to see yet another youngster getting first team experience.
