Yes it was Skrtel and Sakho, but that wasn't solely down to the CBs. IIRC we took both full backs off at HT (when we were 5-0 down), and Lovren was on the bench that day and didn't get on

For what it's worth I don't believe that Lovren is as bad a player as he is made out to be, the problem is I don't see a centre back pairing of Skrtel and Lovren working, and as it seems to be Skrtel plus someone else for me Sakho is the obvious choice.

Sometimes i think Lovren has good reading of the game, but his execution of said reading is way off.

I highly doubt we'll see Sakho in for Lovren come the Stoke game. I think if Gomez impresses today, he may well start next Sunday too.

Lovren has been shocking and the only time we've had a solid defence under Rodgers was when Carra come in for Skrtel in his first season and when we went to a back 3 last season. So naturally it'll be the 2 clowns in a 2 to start the season.

Surely not but we'll see. It's him who'll be out of a job by October if he does it so.....

If we start that team we'll lose, I have little doubt of that.

Lovren must be putting some extra after training sessions in with Brendan because at least that way it makes sense. Our manager thinking Lovren is superior to Sakho worries me! If Lovren gets the nod, which looks likely, I'd not be surprised to see Sakho push for a move before the window closes.
