Living on Merseyside I can assure everyyone that the Chinese whispers about stevies private life change and presumably are more exagerated daily

The rumour is now so complex that no one can understand it

      I'm rambling here arnt I?

basicly the current rumours are so far removed from the original rumours of 3/4 weeks ago as to lack any credibility whatsoever

I am trying hard here not to break our self imposed ban on the subject
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

And why would he want to do that? He's just posted what he's heard.

These kinds of rumours tend to appear through speculation being mixed in with previous gossip about those involved, and as each person passes it on the story is retold with greater certainty and greater sensationalism. It's not even necessarily a conscious thing, it's just what tends to happen as rumours circulate. On the other hand, it might be absolutely spot on

I heard that SG wanted a break from Liverpool to persue a career in music.
Got a great album on the way apparently.

Read Gerrard's book, the bloke bleeds red, and he doesn't want to play abroad, and Rafa wouldn't sell him - just think about it.

Give him a break mate. He put a disclaimer on it didn't he?
It may well be total bollocks but he's just passing it on as he said.

Do we want people to post football rumours on here or not?

Only if it's a positive rumour like we're going to sign Micah Richards etc.

I always find it unbelievable how all these negative reactions and posts come out ofter a bad result. I'm not saying the original poster is lying, its just how we seem to hear about them after we don't win.

On a side note I'll back Rafa no matter what decision he makes or does with Stevie if there even is something going on. To back Stevie over Rafa is imature and naive imo.

I don't claim to be an insider and I hope this is all rubbish but the guy who told me would not make this up.

IF he does then I hope we get a good price for him. Although id be sad to see such a talented player go, the TEAM would be better off with the 3 or 4 quality players we could buy with the funds.

Also, the stevey gerrard sideshow would be gone and we could get on with discussing liverpool for a change instead of the constant is he staying/is he going, is he happy on the right or the middle?, is his bird knobbing a pancake etc..

How so? We'd get probably £30m for him, meaning 3 players at £10m or 4 players at £7.5, give or take. Looking at Rafa's record in the transfer market, I'd guess that only 2 of the players would be of the right quality

'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Let´s say we´d get 30m for Gerrard, for the sake of argument, that´s Alves (or Richards) and one other 15m player. Two quality players that are hopefully free of this circus, I wouldn´t cry my eyes out to be honest. Add to this the usual 15m budget and we could sign three or four genuine quality players, or 10 average if Rafa want´s to Stay or go, I don´t care.
                              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
