    Aston Villa (H) Post Match

Well 3 points and a better performance. Defending is still an issue but having someone capable of scoring goals makes a huge difference in this league.

    Sturridge

Our charge up the table starts here

A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Good win but Sturidge pulled us out the fire there. Chuffed with the win. Rodgers out.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Sturridge shows them how its done. Can we fit him and Benteke into a starting 11?

              Nicely entertained for 90 minutes.

              7th place mutherf*ckers!

Eat that 8th to 20th placed teams!

A genuine goal scoring threat makes such a difference.

Thank **** for that! Not good for the ol' ticker watching that.

Think I'm going to go for a quick drive and de-stress.

Wtf was Can doing for their first? He was marking the man but just stood still while their striker ran in on goal.

Thank **** for that. Sturridge made a big difference there. He's not 100% but he's starting to introduce some movement and threat back into our game. Defence (and its interaction with midfield) is still awful. Any old **** can score against us at any time.

So all in all, a bit of an improvement which is very welcome.

If he's the saviour based on his injury record

Who said anything about that ? He's made a difference today with his goals though.
