Everything points to Firmino (young potential) as the TC and Benteke (prem proven) as RodgersOriginally posted by Tribute View PostFirmino came on yesterday and for the first time since he joined, he looked like a proper player - quick feet, intelligent movement and supporting the attacking play well. Considering he's coming back from injury, he looked decent, as did Benteke.
Just makes me wonder whether he was a Rodgers or a Transfer Committee signing? If the former, I don't think Rodgers knew where (or how) to play him to get the most from him

I think he will look to buy a quick wide player in January unless we can get Markovic back. I still think ibe is too raw yet to contribute properly at this level.Originally posted by Lecter View PostThere was about 5 minutes yesterday when Beneteke came on that both Coutinho & Lallana looked to run beyond Benteke
The problem is they arent quick enough and they were soon outpaced by the recovering defenders[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

It was interesting that on the Guardian podcast they blamed the equalizer as much on our players tiredness as individuals. You do wonder if we will keep letting things slip for a while before we get the levels of fitness needed to make Klopps system work, or he may have to adapt it to the way the PL works."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

No doubt about it. I mentioned before signing Klopp, that his style of play would be very hard to implement mid-season. Both running patterns and fitness takes a different pre-season to optimize. We have to do that work now, and it will likely cost a bit on the match preperations and standard plays,Originally posted by dww View PostIt was interesting that on the Guardian podcast they blamed the equalizer as much on our players tiredness as individuals. Training wise the players are going through a mid season pre season to get up to super human running levels....Originally posted by Darkon View PostNo doubt about it. I get that they want to report this sort of thing. But whose interest is it in that people know that now?Originally posted by Shaggy View PostBarrett and the rest said Firmino was a TC buy and Rodgers begrudgingly agreed to take him on the proviso we also bought Benteke.
Rodgers/Transfer Committee. Its all the same to me, especially now that we have a new manager in charge?*Except Michael, who died.
