Klopp was class in the post-match interview. The only class on display from us today.

if we had started like we did against City then Newcastle would have retreated into their shells.

Our poor opening 15 mins gave them confidence to grow into the game.

Midfield and forward players were poor as individuals and as team mates. would give allen five out of ten and that is the best score out of all six that started.

While Milner has energy most of it is used off the ball. Him, Allen and Lucas all want to pass rather than drive forward with it.

The quality in the final third Ibe and Firmino are too inexperienced in the PL to be our main creative threats in the same game, while they are good players I think they need to be used to play a second creative role to someone like Coutinho (and maybe Lallana). Add to that Benteke as the striker who offers no creativity I think it was the wrong side to go with. While the players mentioned are decent enough they need to be part of a team with the 'big' players rather than replacements for them.

Looked like total strangers and in fairness they are in minutes played together. All three are new to this team and each other

This game was always going to come and with us on the crest of a wave the timing is not surprising. We were bad today, and a few players have big question marks against them - but you get the sense Klopp is getting a good read on every player in the squad.

We are not going to win the league - we never were. But too 4 is totally achievable. We need to turn up for every game. We looked tired today and given our recent workload that's maybe not too surprising.

Put the defeat behind us and move on.
          Modifying post.

Good to see the real Liverpool turn up, being let down is what I'm used to.

I don't know if it's just us or other teams are the same, but I can tell what sort of performance it will be within a couple of minutes. The three corners in the first minute were all shocking and that set the scene.

                Incrediblely frustrating.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Classic Liverpool. Everyone drops points, we get prior notice and lose to someone like Newcastle.

Performance was poor, disjointed and lethargic. There were times when the movement upfront was non existent, plenty of bodies stood around the box but whoever was carrying the ball at the time was left to run around and try and create something whilst everyone else stood about like bloody statues.

Probably the kick up the ass we needed as I'm sure some would've began to believe in the hype being spouted about us recently.

                      Can't win em all.

Even Barca didn't win this week.

Onwards and upwards! We have Klopp! and Klopp will sort it, given time.

Yep. Lose by 2 to a team who has 1 shot on our goal. **** sake. Will probably feel even more annoying next weekend when Spurs beat them by 7 or 8!

We need Sturridge to say fit, badly. Without him we struggle to create and score goals.
                            Are we winning?

Hopefully today showed Klopp that he needs to buy energetic midfield reinforcement next month.
