Obviously notOriginally posted by danperkins View PostRelentless he says as he responds to my post once again (usually indirectly) looking for a reaction, ffs at least make it less transparent. You can debate without being a dick to me, you do know that ? It won't make you any less of a man to be nice to me
I do love how you take the slightest bit of criticism of our players so incredibly and "utterly" personally.... oh except when it's you doing it.... it's completely fine then. Absolutely nobody is allowed to say absolutely anything negative about any LFC player truth or not, without the Superfan jumping in vehemently defending the players honour. It's cool to be totally and absolutely offended these days.
Stevie was done we all knew it, my LFC favorite player of all time but sure **** happens. Loved Suarez epic player, sorry for wanting a player out of the club that had absolutely zero interest in wanted to be here.. same goes for Sterling and any other cunt that doesn't want to be here. No player is bigger than the club. You have a serious bee in your bonnet about my opinions of Can. I said i don't get the hype about Can, but it's early days, lot of LFC fans have the same opinion. So what's the big deal about that?
You can throw the words like utter coward and spineless fraud around and I don't really care to be honest, it's your opinion but the neck on you to be the first to take the moral high ground and lecture anybody else for saying something as trivial as, player is off form, had a bad game etc. It's an observation or an opinion, not a personal insult.
I'm not quite sure what you consider a bad insult but it seems to me you have a really skewed version of it considering the style of your posting & the way you rip into others
absolutely mate. Leaders drive other players, Suarez and Gerrard dragged us forward and other players responded to that. We really are lacking that type of personality.

I dont think it is purely a mentality issue. I think it is a talent issue as well.Originally posted by danperkins View PostToo many pussies out there waiting for someone else to step up. A hard nut winning character is Masch, Suarez, Carra, Hyypia, Gerrard. We have nobody with that mentality in our current side.
The five you mentioned would make a strong case for the all time LFC squad. We have no one with that level of talent in our current squad with the exception of Sturridge and Coutinho.
Outside of Coutinho, there is not a single player in our current squad who will interest the top teams in Europe.

I never meant that it was purely mentality, but I do think it has alot to do with it against the teams that battle it out. We have some very good technical players and some talented ones, and yes without a doubt we need to add better players to our current squad. For me there are no leaders and that win at all costs mentality just doesn't seem to be there in alot of our players. Everything is looking to the next guy to do it, very frustrating.
I'm hoping Klopp has a good talk with the lads and let them know whats what. I can't imagine him being the type of guy to shy away from giving someone an absolute bollocking.

Or they could just play better football and beat the team without having to do anything else.Originally posted by Nicey View PostWhen will someone on our team grow a ****ing set and start to literally man up. Week in week out we see bad decisions, bad tackles go against us and not ****ing one of them confront the players or the referee. Any other team and the entire team would be charging down at the Ref demanding justice or complaining about a bad call, our lot ? ****ing casual as you like
One of there fellow team mates get chopped down violently ... most other teams surround the offender snarling forcing the Ref to do something .. our lot .? not a bother
Teams coming to our ground thinking they will have it all there way ... most other teams leave a mark on players like Vardy .. early doors ... our lot ... all smiles and back slaps with the opposition
Its about time some of these ****ing Assbags realize we want to see complete and utter commitment from them every single ****ing game .. pressing .. fighting .. demanding action .. making life really really ****ing difficult for the opposition as a bare minimum ... then go out play them
Just watching MOTD2 and its all so ****ing casual by our players ****ing half assing it all over the ****ing park ...Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

No thats not enough ... they have to fight for everything, thats what winners do, in order to play football they have to put it on the opposition in order to be allowed to play there game.Originally posted by Corndog View PostOr they could just play better football and beat the team without having to do anything else.
When I say man the **** up I am not talking about running about the pitch ****ting people. They need to as a collective believe, show they want it, fight for the ball, fight for decisions, fight for each other, fight for the manager, fight for the shirt, fight for the ****ing Millions and Millions of supporters who emotionally put their heart and ****ing soul into this club week in week out.
Last Sunday, they were getting muscled of the ball way to easy ... again we saw some players on there ****ing heels watching the game past them by. Even that invincible Arsenal team of beautiful football had equal measure of toughness, both physical and mental. Our Keepers need to ****ing clear every single thing in front of them OUT to get the ball when the come off their line. Our middle fielders cannot afford to be shuffled off a 50/50 with ease, our defenders need to **** strikers off or **** the ball off ... its not ****ing rocket science. Opposition teams need to feel intimidated they need to know, they will get the game of their ****ing lifes each and every time they play against a liverpool team ... This is why Rafa's team was so successful ... not necessarily the best team in the lg certainly not Europe ... but it was a Machine .. A Nasty Football Machine that was breathing down oppositions necks at all times
I am honestly incensed at that ****ing performance, its happened too much already, towards the end of last season it was enough then. What separates good players from great players is consistently ... we have a bunch of ****ing Good players nothing more nothing less ... they ****ing all need to become Great players or they can **** off to Crystal Palace and alikeAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. For sure you need to show hunger and be able to compete physically but against Watford the team didn't even do the basics of good close control or simple passing very well.Originally posted by Nicey View PostNo thats not enough ... they have to fight for everything, thats what winners do, in order to play football they have to put it on the opposition in order to be allowed to play there game.

I am not denouncing the need for leadership. But from reading your posts, I get the impression that we have good technical players who lack leadership and heart. I really dont think we have a lot of good technical players, atleast not at the level we need. Technique does not mean ball control and making nice turns. That is one aspect of it. But we definitely lack players who can make things when spaces are tight, opposition is more compact in defense, and know how to pressure us.Originally posted by danperkins View Post

They did not do anything right nor did they look that particularly bothered ... I have heard Klopp talk about the easy game ... for the first goal the non commitment was there to see from the get go and sets the ****ing tone for the entire game and sets of a chain reaction of errors in quick succession blind pass after blind pass, miss tackles, bad positions culminating in the Goal Keeper dropping a meat and veg save ... with zero Liverpool players around him and two Watford players all over him like a rash..... not one ****ing Liverpool Player complained ... Bogdan .. looked like he was getting a real Puppy only to be told it was a toy ... He should have lead the ****ing charge to the Ref .. with his ****ing Captain right behind him ... but no .. these gutless cunts just took it and rolled overOriginally posted by Corndog View PostFor sure you need to show hunger and be able to compete physically but against Watford the team didn't even do the basics of good close control or simple passing very well.
Next Goal .. first Lucas gets shoulder barged off the ball with ease ... then a quick ball over the top, Marty has half a yard on the Watford player .. but he also gets shrugged off the ball like he was not there .. Keepers postion is terrible ... 2-0
Very Shortly after ... same player different LFC defender Sakho .. same outcome ... shrugged off the ball with ****ing ease ... keeper ridiculously punches the ball out and all our players in the box are on there ****ing hells just watching the ball go out to the wing and come back in for another shot with no pressure on the man or the ball
Third .. Can is ****ing sleep walking in the middle of pitch and gets his pocket picked not once but twice in the one move as Watford tear Liverpool and brand new ****ing areshole in one wonderful sweeping move GOAL ... 3 ****ing Nil ... and it was not even because we were chasing the game .. it was because we were lack lustre soft cunts ...
Tell you what if it was not for Bogdan it would have been 5 ****ing Nil ... after watching the game back again .... again .. I feel sorry for him ... he actually had control of the ball for the first goal ... after that you could not blame him for any of the goals ..
Worse ****ing performance I have seen of a Liverpool team since STOKE FC 6 - Liverpool 1 and that was the same ****ING team almost to a man
Bunch of ****ing cunts ..
They should have been lined up in the dressing rooms and fans who traveled down from Liverpool should have thrown bars of soap at there cannot be arsed HeadsAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

I think that the main problem with our side is a lack of leadership and the key players that make up the spine of the side. If you compare to the 2008-09 side that finished 2nd that side had a strong spine: Reina, Carragher, Mascherano, Alonso, Gerrard, Torres all of whom were players who influenced the game either by organisation or by controlling the game, the rest of that side was made up of players such as Kuyt, Agger, Skrtel, Riera, Benayoun, Arbeloa, Lucas, Babel, Dossena, Aurelio, Keane, Ngog, El Zhar, Insua - some good players (and some not so good), the thing with that list of players is that IMO none of them were players who could take it upon themselves to to change a game. The players from that 2nd list who were successful at influencing the game in an attacking sense (Kuyt, Benayoun etc) were able to do so because they benefited from the work done by the spine of the team. If you look at that period and the games we struggled in the majority of the players on the second list were still playing but the likes of Gerrard, Torres and Alonso had been rested which made them much less effective.Originally posted by peekay View PostI am not denouncing the need for leadership. IMO that is what we are seeing now, for me the players we have in the squad are as good as (if not better than) many of the players on that 2nd list from 2008-09, the problem is the spine of the team isn't there. If we can bring in those players who can organise and control the game and dictate a pattern of play we will IMO see the performance level of almost every player in the squad rise. The likes of Coutinho, Firmino, Lallana are players that are capable of making things happen, the problem at the moment is the lack of the players in midfield to dominate, the game and dictate the play getting the ball to them in the right areas. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Spot on ... Milner was supposed to be one of these signings ... he still may turn out to be ... he certainly gives more ****s than the average player in our squad right now

I find Milner an odd one, he seems to work hard, and run alot but all his best work seems to come off the ball and he doesn't seem to have much of an influence on the game when he does have the ball. Which was not what I was expecting when we signed him.Originally posted by Nicey View Post

Also as a vice captain / captain I would like him to be a bit more vocal on the pitch, our team is very quiet, we need more people who are prepared to tell their team mates things that they probably don't want to hear but need to be said. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I have to say, I like Milner, always have. I think he has been underestimated a lot, but since he has signed for us he's been a mixed bag. You are right his off the ball play has been excellent at times, himself and Hendo make similar cutting decisive runs from deep.
But his passing has been shocking at times. Regardless of his form his quality in my books is unquestionable.Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015
