I know Ibe should be more aware of the short corner and I know we've got four players challenging Fellaini, but watching the goal again, should Mignolet be stronger and more upright? It's pretty much been smashed down his throat and he's gone down with a weak wrist.

Or is he just playing the percentages and thinking Rooney is going to go across goal?

    Comment

Yes he should be, he's on his knee's cos he thinks Fellani has scored so isn't in a position to save the Rooney shot which would have been simple had he been standing ****ing upright!

Exactly what I thought. What's he doing on the floor for starters, and then how has he not kept that out? Rooney smashed it right at his hands
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Mignolet should do much better but we say that after every game at the moment. I also think Can has got a cigar on as he starts trotting up the pitch when the ball hits the bar, he could at least have put Rooney under some pressure.

No it doesn't stop us buying anyone else but the money spent on that Serbian kid's fee and Caulker's wages would have been better used on buying a striker. Now we have less money to spend on fees and wages if we're even in for a striker (knowing this club we'll spend the remaining money on another number 10).

Goalkeeper isn't a priority for me as weird as that sounds. What use would a new keeper and more clean sheets be if we can't score goals ?? Even the best teams concede on a regular basis, that isn't an issue if you have the firepower up front to equalize and keep the opposition worried and right now we have no firepower, no threat and no cutting edge in the final third.

I think it is harsh to apportion blame to him for that. Think he was doing what a nearly all keepers would do.

On the point of keepers - De Gea made two excellent saves or the result would have been different. Possibly the only really world class player in the PL (in the sense of being in the discussion for being the best).

Buying 19 year old Serbian midfielders won't help us and neither will Steven Caulker.
The problem being identifying a striker who a) fits our style and b) would perform under the pressure they would be under. It's not just ourselves but many of the top PL teams who have struggled to find such players (Martial and Depay have hardly set the PL alight for example).

You're talking like you're privvy to the amount of money available for new signings. We absolutely need a striker, and I dont believe we'd get Klopp in to not back him sufficiently

Swap De Gea and Mignolet round and we win that game

How the **** do you win a game if you can't score goals. Oh and was Mignolet responsible for that goal today ? Have to watch the replay but I thought it was poor marking. BTW I'm not defending Mig we can do better than him.

Oh and on your first point no I'm not privvy to the amount of money available (obviously) but at the same time I think it's common sense that we won't have a huge amount to spend, this club isn't exactly loaded right now. We've already spent 6 million or whatever it was on that Serbian kid and I'd imagine Caulker is on decent enough wages, all money that could have been used better on a position that we're seriously lacking in.

Everton and Leicester have both scored 14 more goals than us, have a think about that.

I hope we manage to get one or more of our decent forwards fit and then play these cunts in the FA cup final.

Migs has our defenses confidence in tatters because he does not command his box, I would wager the exact same situation happens and De Gea is positioned better and gets to that 2nd ball ...sure its not directly his fault but do you want him as the Liverpool No. 1 for the next 5 years ? I really do not like him as a Liverpool player ... Goal Keepers need presence, need leadership, he has neither

If Klopp is consistent (Mainz + BD) he should be here for 7 years. I wonder how many, if any of our squad will be here.

I was shouting for someone to ****ing smash a United player, make a statement. Ony Lucas, Sakho and Kolo showed any real passion. I like Hendo but I wonder is he good enough and driven enough to lead us.

Mignolet needs to be replaced in the summer obviously just not in January.
