That there is even a debate about the penalty is absolutely staggering. Man goes to ground in the box, nowhere near the ball and trips him up. A clear penalty.

LOL @ Damien Delaney's Instagram drivel

This city has two great football teams – Liverpool and Liverpool reserves

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Some of the radio pundits were seething about the penalty after the game yesterday. "It should be a retrospective 5 game ban" We've not made them this mad since the Suarez days

Ridiculous - how is there an argument about it?
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

When we went to three at the back I was cacking it but we played better and Lovren was excellent as was Can and Sakho bringing the ball out and being a bit more proactive getting us on the front foot.

Much prefer our team when we are more direct rather than the passing sideways ala Butch Wilkins and waiting for the right ball.

I'm loving it in South London too. It's like Palace have thrown away the league title chase on Sunday. So much anger and so many tears.

Can't remember seeing so much debate about a clear penalty.

Sky and MOTD pundits all spending ages debating it like it's a contentious one, just for all of them to agree it actually was a penalty.

And Palace's reaction is just hilarious.

Pardew seems to be trying to convince that the contact only happens when watched in slow motion but not in real time.

And Delaney, "I can honestly say I didn't make contact, but IF I did..."
We've all seen the pictures that show he clearly did, how stupid does he expect people to be?

Then they're both arguing the whole 94th (96th?) min thing, when did there become a cut off point for penalties?

It's **** to lose to a pen with the last kick of the match, but it's still laughably desperate stuff from them.

The rage is hilarious, would love to see some of these warriors not even flinch when they are running and someone comes crashing in to their foot with a ****ing knee!!

Even Pardew's deluded ramblings are like "yeah his knee caught his foot but disgrace bla bla bla"

Damien Delaney! What a bitter yard dog.

it's hilarious - seen some brilliant tweets - the ultimate bitter blue that mike parry from talksport was going ****ing mental, gary lineker took the piss out of him which was good to see.

I can't believe how wound up people have got about it.

Neither us or palace are playing for anything really - we 'might' sneak 4th, they 'might' get dragged into a relegation battle

but looking at it, both teams are safe/won't do much in the league.

I understand it must have been tough to swallow, having been 1-0 up against 10 men......and yes I do agree, it was a very tough call, especially so late in the game....

but the simple matter of fact is, Benteke is running at pace, Delaney slides in when he shouldn't have, granted he tries to pull out of it, but unfortunately the momentum and follow through catch benteke and trips him over.

                            Deal with it.

It's something that has always annoyed me in football analysis......no one seems to mention that when running at speed, a slight knock, clip, ankle tap, can send anyone tumbling - you see it in rugby, when some big power house monster powers away and some one just about flicks their heal and stops them...

but in football, everyone seems to watch the slow motion reply and forget completely about the actual momentum.

                            anyway - **** them
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

He seems to conveniently miss pointing out that Scott Dan could've been sent off numerous times for "man handling" Origi. How many times did he just grab him with both arms to stop him turning him. There was one where he actually lifted him in the ****ing air

The outcry is hilarious. You went flying in off your feet in the penalty box, missed the ball (by quite some distance too) and clipped Binteke with your knee. Its a pelanty. Unequivocal, whether it be 1st minute or 96th (or even 94th in this case). Get over it you ****ing sook

That Pardew clip is pure gold. Take that you utter smug prick.
