This team moved mountains v Dortmund they can do it again v Villareal.
We better go all out attack on them! I will be there and demanding attack after attack!

Yep. This is the fear. We gifted them exactly what they wanted. I hope this time next week our approach has worked out but I'm worried.Originally posted by ChesterDave View PostGoing to be hard to score 2 against them. They didn't look too keen to attack at home nil nil so now they have an away goal.

I'm confident about next week. If Anfield is rocking, we can easily overturn a 1-0 deficit. Attack them, press mercilessly, and know that if we do nothing, we're out anyway.
A 1-0 win would take us to extra-time, and with Villarreal's fitness being questionable recently, I'd be confident too.

There was a similar situation in the Dortmound game where both teams had similar chances...they took the shot and got a goal...we tried to **** about with it and the chance was gone when the shot was on!
It's the difference in the tie.
We certainly struggled to find any rhythm. Perhaps this was due to how Villarreal shaped up? It was about as compact as a Hodgson two banks of four but narrower and they stifled the life out of the middle of the park. We couldn't get our intricate passing game going and both Firmino and Coutinho struggled in places. Combined with Milner and Lucas trying to play through the eye of a needle, we surrendered possession way more than we would have liked.Originally posted by Gibbo View PostMain issue with tonight was the passing everytime we got over the halfway line, was absolutely awful.
It explains Klopp's decision to bring on Ibe in an attempt to stretch the game but as others have said: Sturridge around the 70th minute might have got us that all important away goal.

just play Moreno as a ****in left midfielder. He is a useless defender. People say that he is handy going forward (personally i think he is quick but not really productive) well then play him in a few ****in games as a winger and lets see if he can be any kind of player for LFC. Because right now he is a ****in liability at left back.
The frustrating thing is that we have Flanagan available again but he is not in the euro squad, we have Smith who will play well when he gets a chance but never given a chance in a big game......and we have a ****in cluster**** that ****s up endless times and keeps getting chances. I understand why Mignolet can't be rectified until the summer, but I don't understand why Moreno can't be.
I still think we can make the final but there is always a ****in story. And I think it could be the fact that Sevilla laugh their ****in asses off that we paid good money for Moreno.......and then he costs us in the final against them!!!

That goal felt bad, but it's only half time, I'm not going to lay into the team now. Klopp knows he made some mistakes, he'll try and rectify them, he dragged us into the semi's, I think he can turn this around. If they park the bus we have Benteke and Sturridge who are can play against such teams.
We missed Origi a lot yesterday though, if we sell Benteke I hope we get another pacey and direct striker. We also missed Can, Hendo and Sakho, any team would miss those players.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
