at the moment I'm not too nervous - I'd wrote this season off after about 5 games under Rodgers so anything positive is a bonus and it's remarkable that this side has got here

that said come Thursday i'll be ****ting it

surely sturridge has to start - we need goals and he's the only goalscorer we have.

I'd imagine it will be something like

    mig

    clyne
    toure
    lovren
    Moreno

    lucas
    allen

    milner
    coutinho
    lallana/firminho

    sturridge.

that's prob what I'd pick, and personally lallana over firminho as firminho is playing pretty ****e at the moment - benteke to come off the bench and score the 2nd in a 2-0 win
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

If we score early we win. If we don't crack them early I think they may score on the counter and finish the tie.

We need to stream forward and force the issue.

We're only a goal behind. We shouldn't go chasing the game too early.

Sorry to post on this thread but I don't think too many pay attention to the Matchday threads looking at the number of views

My season ticket is available for both the Watford and Chelsea home games. Details on the post in the Matchday threads

Send me a pm if interested in both or either.

I don't see it as chasing the game, but more about setting a high tempo from the start which IMO will be easier to capitalise on than a more cautious approach.

Heavy metal football from the start.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

We need to press to keep possession but not sit camped out outside their box leaving a vulnerable back line. We have the pace to move things around quicker so don't all need to pile forward desperately

They'll be in their shell all game, they have what they want. We need to tear into them from the start. I'd be worried if we don't get an early goal we might very quickly run out of ideas on how to break down what I expect will be a blanket defence.

Having sat back and thought about it, if the first leg was at anfield and we won it 1-0, we'd all be saying it wasn't a good enough result. The fact we only let in one goal, I back us to score at anfield.

                            I think we'll win this.

I'd say the last week has been the first time Klopp has messed up a bit, hopefully we play a striker not Firmino, 2-3 in the middle not 3-2 which leaves us too narrow and the need for 2 full backs who are a bit useless in the final third, and exposing us on the break like they did a few times and ultimately won them the game.

                              Mig

                              Clyne Lovren Toure Moreno

                              -----Can- Allen

                              Milner--Lallana-- Coutinho

                              ----Benteke or Sturridge

With them packing the middle, I fancy Milner out wide onto Benteke could bring us a fair amount of joy with Lallana/Coutinho following it up.

Anyway in the space of 8 weeks we'll have had 3 massive European nights at Anfield which was unthinkable back in October. Klopp
