Wow - that was some game. Nerves are shredded, they were definitely a dangerous side. We were majestic at times, played with real swagger. I can't believe we're in another European final. :-)

Since we've been on this amazing Europa run I've been drinking my hot and cold drinks out of my LFC mug, every single day whether that's tea, coffee, water or a vimto, I've not changed mug and I will continue to do so until after the final.
My good luck charm.

Buzzing Klopp got one over their cunt of a manager (who has embarrassed himself with his comments after the game). He had an insane amount of belief we'd get the job done and their celebrations were very premature, he was right. I love how he approaches these big games, respectful enough but we're gonna do ya! Love that compared to the "just happy to be taking part" attitude we've had in recent years.

Firmino was class but Coutinho didn't do a lot for me. We have been lucky that one or the other always shows up, but rarely both have a great game. I hope they both show up vs Seville because if they do they won't get anywhere near us like that game vs City earlier in the year.96 Never Forgotten

Villarreal boss Marcelino:
"Things didn't work out how we had planned them. It hit us hard conceding that early goal, it was a hammer blow.
"It was tough against an opponent who played with a huge amount of intensity, maybe on the margins of the rules at times, but it was allowed.
"Liverpool played better than us but for all their superiority they didn't create too many chances. When we got to the sending off it was pretty much game over by then."What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

Anyone else getting pissed off by the way the media are acting like qualification for the Champions League is the main prize, rather than winning a European trophy? Everything I've heard this morning is, 'a place in the Champions League this...', 'a place in the Champions League that...'. Are people forgetting that there's also a major European trophy on offer? The Champions League place is a massive bonus for me. We never had this in 2001 when we won the UEFA Cup, and that was treated as a big deal when we won it. We had to qualify for the Champions League via the Premier League.

Silverware is what it's all about
As you say CL is a huge bonusWhat do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

Silverware should always come first.
Dozens of clubs celebrate like crazy when they reach CL but the vast majority then flop in the competition. Yes they get more cash but what's the point if that extra £30-£40m gets wasted on the likes of Benteke or Sterling? That's their CL bounty gone in one fell swoop.
Winning a major European Trophy massively adds to your history.
