Firmino was class but Coutinho didn't do a lot for me. We have been lucky that one or the other always shows up, but rarely both have a great game. I hope they both show up vs Seville because if they do they won't get anywhere near us like that game vs City earlier in the year.
Yesterday I was thinking to myself that Coutinho will need to be over his illness and at his best for us to get through, but dawned on me this morning that he was pretty anonymous and we still bossed it. Klopp really has worked miracles with this squad.
Anyone else getting pissed off by the way the media are acting like qualification for the Champions League is the main prize, rather than winning a European trophy? Everything I've heard this morning is, 'a place in the Champions League this...', 'a place in the Champions League that...'. Are people forgetting that there's also a major European trophy on offer? The Champions League place is a massive bonus for me. We never had this in 2001 when we won the UEFA Cup, and that was treated as a big deal when we won it. We had to qualify for the Champions League via the Premier League.
I don’t know, potentially stealing United’s place in the CL if they finish 4th is a pretty sweet cherry on top.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

If we win EL, we take the 3rd automatic CL place, 3rd place in league then have to qualify and 4th go to EL.
I hope it's United.
Five clubs will be allowed from England to participate in next season's Champions League if we win it. We'd go into the group stages, so I imagine it will be 3rd and 4th who will go into the play-offs.

Handy table here - left of the thick black line shows Champions League, right shows Europa, in case that's not obvious...

Only if City had of won the CL.
Edit: Have I got it back to front?

No 5 go in it. It's only if two teams win both European cups but finish out side the top 4 that 4th would lose its place. Maximum of 5 teams in the CL.
