I agree, but just would have been nice to see them finish 4th and still not qualify.

Ahh well, as long as we're there, who cares.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

See Kolo giving their keeper a good Gegenning!

So until some bugger starts up the FINAL pre-match thread, I'll ask it here. Sevilla can't be that good if they're below such a **** Villareal side in the La Liga right?

They seem to be the opposite of Villareal, i.e. score tons of goals but concede tons too. Even their fullbacks seem to like scoring (that was a good goal by their RB last night). Obviously makes up for their dislike of defending.

6 goals conceded in the QF tie and 3 in the semi final. At least there's no bricking it with away goal worries, I fancy our chances of outscoring (and out playing) them if Can and Sturridge are hungry.
        One tit for another.

We'll **** them, too much firepower.

People may say the same about us. How can 8th placed Liverpool beat Man Utd, Dortmund, and Villarreal to reach the Europa League Final, when, by all accounts, they should be superior?

Sevilla know how to win this tournament, but we've beaten some big teams along the way, so we should be confident, but not over the top, because of their league position (7th in La Liga), as we're not in a great position ourselves (8th in Premier League).

This why I'm hopeful - they'll be no cat and mouse, no punches being pulled, no sounding each other out - it'll be attack v defence from the whistle with just the odd lull to get the breath back. If Liverpool keep last nights team under wraps I see no reason why they can't outrun, outpress and outscore Seville.

Its whether we play to that level
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Yeah, that's the concern. Can, Firmino, Clyne and Lallana had the games of their lives (well almost). All of those players are visibly prone to having lacklustre games too.

My hope is (like someone mentioned elsewhere) Coutinho will turn up if Firmino doesn't and Milner will continue his Mr Consistently Good performances. Plus, its a final with Klopp on your back.

Fck it, roll on the final!

Not quite sure how their goalie made it in!! He ended up calming down and making a few saves too but christ, he made Mig look like Buffon out there.

They're strong at home but haven't won outside their own country for ages...apparently.

Just had a better look, they are like Arsenal, they were great from November to March, until their form tailed off dramatically. Any notable injuries?
