Karius has been better this season but he still does seem like a flapper. I'm not that confident he is the one who will be a main stay for us. As regards Allison, prob best not judge him on one game.. he's considering one of the best performing Gk's in the world this season.

Started off looking fair competent but even his save from Salah was relatively easy........cannot really apportion too much blame on him despite the scoreline, but it's not a game that would make you straighten up and take notice of him.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostYeah, I didn't think Allison looked that special, he doesn't look like a 60 million upgrade on Karius at least.
His record this season is quite good to be fair, so last night didn't tell us too much........other than he's a moany fecker."I will make the boys feel your support"

I think Karius has been posting Neuer-esque figures for the past three months though.Originally posted by danperkins View PostKarius has been better this season but he still does seem like a flapper. He has been much better than previous but those figures are not just about him... VVD and Robertson have been putting in super star performances in front of him, Trent too. Even Lovren has been doing well beside VVD.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostI think Karius has been posting Neuer-esque figures for the past three months though.
Bin Mig and get someone else in to battle it out with Karius IMO.

I've said it before but the issue with karius is reading the flight of the ball, he's ****ing gash at it. If Roma or Stoke for that matter pile loads of balls into the box you'll see the evidence of it, if it breaches the CBs.
I would definitely be looking at a GK in the summer, except Butland.

I've not seen De Gea have 1 game like that in the past few years, so i think its all hype. He certainly isn't the best on the planet, and based on last night i'd stick with Karius or put the money towards an actual elite keeper like OblakOriginally posted by danperkins View PostKarius has been better this season but he still does seem like a flapper. Yer wha? He's made plenty of **** ups recently like v Chelsea or Sevilla or had games where he's had goals galore belted past him. Oblak just had 3 put past him by a hapless Real Sociedad so if we are judging on one game then we can't have him either.Originally posted by meffin View PostI've not seen De Gea have 1 game like that in the past few years, so i think its all hype. Already signed for Milan.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostPepe Reina out of contract this summer, could be a decent experienced reserve keeper?
I think Karius has done enough to earn a season to prove himself. I'd keep him as our number 1 for next season barring any absolute repeated clangers for the remainder of this season.

Difference being Oblak and De Gea have been at an elite level for years now- Alison has been doing it for less than 1 season- i get his clean sheet stats this season are incredible, but i dont think its that much of an upgrade from what we have.
