It seems Klopp is against loan deals but equally, a 16 year old isn't going to displace Sturridge, Origi or Ings on the back of a pre season goal. Let's just take on board what Klopp said about pre season games being full training; enjoy some of our youth prospects being showcased as well as letting them continue their development in the academy.

It would be silly to praise or vilify a player on pre season performances.

Woodburn will simply play with the U21s, anything less or greater would be a danger to him - no point in things being too easy but equally trying to force his development would be disastrous for someone so young.

Training with our current strikers on a regular basis, except Mario of course, & under the guidance of Klopp would be beneficial to him & playing with the 18's to keep him match fit.

He's moved up to the U21s I think. Like I said earlier he's too good for the U18, him and Brooks Lennon will be the main strike pair I imagine.

Disastrous is quite harsh considering pretty much any world class player there's ever been has made a full debut by 16/17. I understand the caution and there's no way he should be loaned out as there's no need, he'll get plenty of games at youth level which is where he should stay this season with the odd early round cup sub appearance I think.
