Didn't see the game but a banana skin avoided. Great run continues, United next. Massive match!
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Also liked the bit talking about the need to turn up with 'something like your usual face'

Hmmm. He was extremely poor. I thought he made several terrible mistakes and we were really lucky not to be punished. For me he performed like a deer in the headlights. Maybe he will improve, but that was not a good goalkeeping performance at all

Yeah a settled defence in front of him will help. I thought we missed Klavan in the 1st half in particular.

New keeper in a new league with a new centre back in a new pairing. Lots of shock of the new in that. De Gea was ****e for a good while and got there. I didn't like it either but it's a bit too early to say.

Karius will possibly cost us a few games before he gets better.
              Are we winning?

                Mignolet would too though.

look at his movement for their goal, all over the shop pondering whether to go for it, rather than getting ready to make a save

We need to expect it from him from time to time. He had a number of today's type of performance in the bundesliga as well. He has a few of the same weaknesses that Mignolet has, namely can be dodgy on crosses, and is not the most physically dominant of keepers, but when on form I reckon his strengths far outstrip Mignolet in the same departments.

I think he is more agile than Mignolet, much quicker in terms of pace and acceleration (and far more willing to use that pace to come out and sweep), and much less likely than Mignolet to go into his shell after a clanger or two.

He is not the type of keeper that is going to lead at the back, well not yet anyway, and will have to work hard lessening the weaknesses he shares with Mignolet but the guy is already probably a better keeper than Mignolet and has loads of time to improve further.

As I said in one of the transfer window thread both before and after we got him, he is not the young German keeper I would have gone for, but he is an upgrade in my eyes and he does look to have a hell of a lot of potential.

Do think that if he reaches his potential that his style of play will resemble that of some of the recent top Spanish keepers (Casillas and De Gea ) and that of the tier below Spanish keepers like Rico and Asenjo rather than resembling the more physically and mentally dominant style of some of the more high profile German keepers of recent years and of years gone by.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Karius has had a shaky start, but I think he'll get better and more confident with each match. It's really important that we've won all the games he's played in and that none of the goals were really his fault, so at least his confidence shouldn't be afflicted.

First half we were positively ****, some players looked like they couldn't be bothered and Hendo & Wijnaldum were completely overrun. Second half much better, Coutinho ****in bossed the game from deeper and everyone looked livelier. Feel bad for Swansea but it was a deserved win.

Thanks for that, I didn't know of him before he arrived. Be interesting to see his development. I'm just happy we are moving away from Mignolet.

Deserved that after the second half performance. Can't wait for the United game now, ****ing international.

Big win that, we were pretty poor in the first half but you have to give Swansea a lot of credit for how hard they worked.

2nd half we connected with more passes and they tired.

We should have put them to be in all honesty, we got into the box a few times and either picked terrible passes or got unlucky (Cork sliding in)

Karius was a worry though, to be honest I be tempted to stick Mignolet back in against United because they've been strong from corners and have a few big units.

Up to 2nd in the league, given the start we've had its about as good as it gets.

Coutinho starting deeper against teams that sit deep is the way forward, better having him pulling the strings

Dunno about anyone else but that felt like a Cup semi final or something to me. Going absolutely ****ing bananas 2nd half. Great to see us turn one around. I know we did at Arsenal but this was different. We can in all manner of ways now.

Karius is terrifying. United next and that cunt Mourinho will no doubt have them pumping high balls up to Ibrahimovic, Fellaini and co.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
