But that will always be the case until it is the real deal. Seems like lazy journalism to just say we've had good teams before but still not won the league, rather than point to anything that suggests this side really is up to it or not.

The whole league has an enjoyable feel to it this year. In recent season there has been a distinct feeling of the quality being on the wane. This season it feels like there are some really good teams with distinctive styles and some genuinely good players scattered throughout the league.
It's great that in that environment we still feel like the best team to watch

Definitely. Top end of the league is looking seriously competitive! I suspect the points gap from 1st to 5th will be the lowest in some time.
Nowhere to put this really - a first team squad (plus a few kids) XI was put together for a behind closed doors game against a Bradford City side. Goals from James Milner, Ings (a brace), Can and Yan Dhanda in 5-0.
