Absolutely. Man Utd killed the game as a contest, relied on the keeper, so it fizzled out. On a bit of an off day, we're clearly way ahead of them, and they will finish at least top 6 so it bodes well for the season.Originally posted by cream View PostNot the best result, and certainly not the worst. Most he got was small comments between the two eejits commentating that 'could Utd have done more offensively ?'Originally posted by gratziani View PostStrange how Mourinho can slag off Allardyce when West Ham done it against Chelsea but none of the pundits call him out over doing it with a team that costs a small fortune to assemble
Of course, he'd argue they got a point away from home against their biggest rivals. Which is kind of hard to argue with............can still call him a ****** though, so it kind of evens itself out."I will make the boys feel your support"

I think we learnt a lot from this game actually, Sturridge is not the answer, Can and Henderson are maybe not a good pair, their are both good but when played together the flow of the ball doesn't seem so good and Lallana and Firmino are integral to our game.Originally posted by gratziani View PostGot to admit the actual game was ****ing frustrating to watch , with Rashford at right back and Young at left back.
Need to find a way to play when teams do this for future , thought we were very slow in our build up play.
We are fourth, having played Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Man United, that's awesome
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Pogba and Ibra meant to be world class yet they looked like and played like a fat Sam team.

Masterclass from Mourinho last night.
He took the world's most expensively assembled squad and managed a fantastic 0-0 draw and a total of one shot on target relying on his excellent keeper to produce two fantastic saves.
A clean sheet against the goal machine that is Liverpool FC (who recorded their first clean sheet of the season) while recording united's lowest ever possession stats since sky invented football confirming that LFC are not the 8th wonder of the world.
Also invented the 6-2-1-1 system.
If Zoltan's weak header had gone in it would have been the best tactical display ever. United might be 7th in the league with 2 points less than LVG had at this stage last year but are top of the alternate reality league.Last edited by fidget; 18-10-16, 10:00 AM.Glass Half Full

That's relying on literally every chance to be converted, how often does that happen?Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostThat tackle on Firmino at the end was excellent, we would have been one nil up or at least had a penalty if it was in any way mistimed.
Looking at the chances for both teams I think we should have won 3-1
Neither keeper was anyway near busy enough for last night to be a high scoring game..

I'm assuming non worldie saves or ridiculously bad finishing.Originally posted by Pepe79 View PostThat's relying on literally every chance to be converted, how often does that happen?

I said to a mate before the match that I thought United would get a result because you just knew Mourinho would spoil it
I thought Herrera played well but he certainly should have been booked earlier in the game as he was persistantly fouling imo. One thing that was interesting is that whenever we got the ball Herrera made an immediate bee-line for Coutinho it was almonst a man marking job from that point of view. It wasnt until Lallana came on that he started to struggle as he then had 2 players to worry about rather than one
We werent great but their parking the bus tactics and long hoof ball was dire to watch. At times they had 6 or 7 men strung out in a line on their 18 yard box (thats Hodgson plan A right there)
FLMAO @ Gary Neville saying they played tight in the hope of sneaking a win off a set piece thats Tony Pullis stuff
Still all said and done if De Gea hadnt pulled off a great save we would have won thatBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Apart from the Burnley anomaly I think we can take some encouragement from all of our other results. Last night we had little composure in the first half, we were far too nervous and it showed. I'm very happy with our points tally given the games that we've played. We're in a strong position and as long as we don't bottle it then I'm confident that we'll finish in the top four. United controlled the space and stifled the game very well last night, but for a team so expensively assembled they really ought to be capable of playing football.

yeah last night is frustrating as **** but on the balance of things, burnley aside it's been a solid start to the campaign, plenty of positives but still a few issues to iron out.
I still feel we lack a real leader out there. To me it looked like the build up and occasion got to our players in the first half - just need someone with a bit of assurance to calm them down and dictate the play a bit. It was all a bit rushed or play it safe to start with.
Also we still have a few question marks -
keeper - not impressed with either, though karius is new and young so fingers crossed
lb - whilst milner is doing a good job there we defo need a good left back.
cm - I still feel it's lacking something - we've got some good centre mids but not one great one if that makes sense.
up front - need a goalscorer that fits our play. I feel firminho maybe just lacks a little bit of pace at times up front, Sturridge looks a little lost and i'm not sure if origi or ings will be prolific at the top level.
but to be fair i'm being very nitpicky there. I'm looking at it like it's champ manager and I've got £200m to spend
Anyway I've said this loads about Liverpool - when we start like a train in the first five mins we are unstoppable but if we start slowly, sloppy, cautious or allow the opposition to get into the game early on we really seem to struggle to turn it round and change gear. It's either full acceleration from kick off straight into 5th gear or it's it's stall then stay in 2nd/3rd gear all game trying to find 4th
This is where maybe we need to find something different? - maybe we go two up top with ings and origi? and get that hassling the opposition defence and see if it creates something?
Anyway - they were ****e, i'm quite happy for them if they want to 'celebrate' that.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
