An amazing performance that will have opposition sides ****ting themselves.

If we continue on this path then Coutinho, Firmino AND Mane are on course for 20 league goals each. I bet that's never been achieved before!

Also it gets on my norbs that the media constantly bang on about Coutinho being courted by Barca/Real etc but no mention of Hazard...

I honestly think we might reach double figures against Sunderland.

Don't know who got mom but for me I'd go with firminho, thought he was outstanding today, followed closely by coutinho and also lallana again was class but we kinda just expect that from him now also thought Matip was brilliant
Totally agree & that's the order I voted for in the MOTM.

Not to get ahead of myself but what's the record premier league result (goals scored by one side)?

Should have googled it, Man Utd vs Ipswich, 9-0!

Which we did against Crystal Palace but it doesn't count as football didn't exist before the Premier League

We are not bad defensively but as has been said, we switch off at least once in every game and we concede avoidable goals. This is irrelevant when we're facing teams like Watford.
                    Are we winning?

You can't dominate any game 100%, the opposition will always have a period of possession enabling them to dictate play. If we're defending for ten minutes in a game like we were yesterday then that's about as good as it gets. I wouldn't underestimate Sunderland, they could do a Burnley on us. Just treat every game exactly the same, play to our own strengths and be wary of our opponents. I thought defensively we seemed a bit disjointed yesterday, but Matip and Lucas haven't played many minutes together. Karius definitely looked much more commanding and pulled off a few decent saves.

you know what, I don't give a **** if the media "experts" are saying that we aren't good enough defensively to win the title. Let them try to keep us under the radar. I hope they are still saying it in Jan - when we are 10 points clear at the top. I hope after 24 games gone, we still hear Hoddle say plainly stupid things like "yeah they are going great.....but can they do it against the likes of United, Chelsea and Arsenal"

We have had the trickiest start in the league. And guess what, we are top.

Klopp is 100% right about keeping his team grounded. It is all about setting ourselves up to have a chance at the run-in. But right now we are top of the league, playing the best football in the country, and are about to start a run of fixtures where we have a brilliant chance to put some distance between us and our rivals. Let them play each other and take points off each other. I will be cheering for draws all round when Chelsea play Spurs and when Arsenal play United, and when City play Chelsea and Arsenal. A load of 1 all's please - with a few injuries and suspensions thrown in for good measure. And in the meantime, if City can drop points in games like at home to Boro, then that is ****in great too.

I am so excited to watch our games. Really pissed off that the international break has come around again to be honest.

We have players playing 8/10 every week but it is great because we have genuine competition for places now too. Not one player out there can take their foot off the gas because there are hungry players like Sturridge, Origi, Wjinaldum, Lucas, Klaven all ready to try and get into the team as well.

Aye, yet another international break is bull****.
                          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

                            This.

I have been reading about ManU's misery on redcafe and saw that many of them are convinced that we don't have the squad depth to mount a proper challenge. I don't think we'll win the bloody thing, but I don't think that will because of lack of depth. In addition to those you mentioned, we have Grujic, Gomez, Moreno, Mignolet and youngsters like Ejaria and TAA.

So, right now, our defence is ****, we don't have depth, we haven't played the big teams, we haven't played against parked buses and our attack can't perform like they are for the season.
                            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Hate these international games. I know it's a result of having top international players, but these games are ****. Just breaks the flow of the premiership season, hope it doesn't have a detrimental impact on our momentum.

We're unlikely to play against a team as tactically naïve as Watford again this season, they really should have done a Burnley. Even top teams will be wary and sit back like United did.

And is also irrelevant as I didn't ask about pre-Premier League!

                                Otherwise let's bring in -

West Bromwich Albion 12–0 Darwen (First Division, 4 April 1892)

                                or

Nottingham Forest 12–0 Leicester Fosse (First Division, 21 March 1909)
